  1. Thanks for the "lack" of help gang :)

So I got my annual airmiles VIP free bubbles tickets for Jamie Cullum & Colbie Caillat next Thursday and got a freebie pair of tickets for Al Mackay's Eart Wind & Fire Experience. Gotta find some Spandex for that one. Might see if Toke's has some going spare. All I can say is that 6 hours of the equivalent of Emirates Business Class Food & Booze has let me enjoy some really outstanding gigs I would never have got off the sofa to pay to watchwatch - John Legend, Alison Moyet, Jools Holland, James Blunt & finally The Script so having done some checking out on You Tube I think I may be in for a night of drooling to Colbie & sing-a-long with Jamie.

Stones next week full day brunch & 7 of us in a Limo - probably won't care about the fact we'll be 2 miles from the stage and they are so old they forget all the words, have their incontinence pants emptied every two songs.

Then to choose between Clapton & Black Sabbath. Still a chance Sabbath may do Glasto so :scared:, what to do?

  2. A. Pompeyfan discussing Exeter:

This is a particularly telling example of #SkateDoubleFink and tells you everything you need to know about the culture of their club. Apparently, Exeter are "a well-run club" and a "model for fans [sic] ownership." This despite the fact they've put Tisdale on a contract they can't afford, are nearly bust and are going to have to get the begging bowl out again.

Ring any Chimes? It's certainly a model I recognise, but not one I'd aspire to.

Well of course he is right in some ways.

When the skates need money they have ALWAYS gone to someone else. Now that they are self sufficient and fan owned, they went to?

    The HNW's for money.....

As Brian Howe so succinctly put it. Ask not of the 3,500 who paid their 1,000 pounds, think of the 13,500 regulars who were not stupid enough to do that.

  3. Am normally at the game but right now am in Cape Town and can only follow this match thread.

Amazed at how negative and Skatelike some of the comments are !

How can anyone LoL when we concede ??

Ah you kinda need to see it. Boruc double handed throwdown into his own net is the best description

  4. The spectacular show began with 'faux-lesbian' singers tATu holding hands on stage despite anti-gay laws

Within minutes of ceremony starting, one of five gigantic snowflakes failed to blossom into an Olympic ring

IOC President made apparent attack on anti-gay laws: 'Games are never about erecting walls to keep people apart'

Oh and just found this. Even the Germans took the p1ss

    Have a nice evening Vlad

  5. Does anybody know know more about this? The traffic news web site makes it look as if it might only be the bit from the motorway north towards the airport that is flooded.

Can you get off the m27 on to stoneham way south into the city?

You are asking a poster in Dubai about traffic updates?

    OK here you go

  6. Swansea.

Played 10 extra games this season in the Europa League.

They were not ready for it and did not have the squad to cope with it. Our nippers are not yet ready, another season at least for many of them.

Remind me of how Swansea are holding up this year?

Now that does NOT mean I would not LOVE to fly back for a match or 2 at Wembley, but the reality is we are 1) being sold in the summer to be taken to the nxt level 2) We are going to have further investment from Katerina 3) We will become self funding.

To win the FA Cup, play in the Europa league we would need 5 or 6 more 1st team players. That could destroy the team spirit.

I'd love the trip but reality says Swansea could totally collapse in the next few weeks and I sure as hell do NOT want to be playing in the Championship in 2015/16 because our first team burnt out
