Has there been any mentioned from the club about Aribo and Edozie?
Yes, in this week's press conference.

Crazy decision, but is it another one of the 'deeper pockets wins' situations?! Imagine if Ipswich were winning and Blackburn down to 10, would they replay?
Why would that make any difference to this situation?

Can you confirm MLG that McCarthy has a passing rating of 1 in the newest version?
It'll be low, but not that low.

I don’t know. Why would the Premier League clubs agree to that?
They wouldn't. Turkeys voting for Christmas.

If they want to extend the playoffs then do it by increasing the number of promoted teams so third place is an automatic place and four teams go up/go down. 4th-7th in the playoffs.
Why would the Premier League clubs agree to that?

We all want Saints to play in the PL, but to me going up with this squad I could only see nother humiliation next season. I suggest we would get less points than last!!.
If we approached promotion like Sunderland who got basically a whole new 1st team, who were equipped for the rigours required then I would be more keen, but knowing SR it will be a load of potential players and not hardened players ready for the fight
The longer we stay down the harder it will be to be promoted. Our parachute payments will be lower in the 2nd seson and disappear completely in the 3rd season. We'd lose any decent players next summer without promotion.
If we went up, it wouldn't be us using most of the current players in the Premier League. We'd likely sign a lot of new players.

So saying we need to wait and see what happens, whilst saying that we now have proper reliable people in charge like Dragan and Spors running things, wasn’t HINTING that things were going to improve? Ok then .
I didn't say that. Try not making up things I haven't said.
Plus in any case, we are only 2 games post window closing. Let's not write off things improving.

How long do you think he should wait for? (Not trying to be confrontational, just genuinely interested in other perspectives). Cheers 👍🏻
More than 2 games after the window shuts. If we still look a shambles after 10 league games, then worry.

I did not

Any update on these thoughts? I thought everything was going to be miraculously better now Spors was in charge of recruitment. What do you make of the Downs signing being our sole striker signing to solve all issues up front? I mean, he must be who they’ve hung their hat on, as he’s the only striker we signed. Reckon he’s looking the part so far?
You didn't wait very long to dismiss the new players

Goztepe are definitely getting the better end of the deal here, sitting second in the Turkish top flight after six games and behind Galatasaray.
They get filtered players through us that would otherwise be too good for them and outside of their budget. While, we don't get the same players coming to us that are too good for the Championship, or outside of our budget. We have a strict sell before we buy and wage cap budget which has created this team of underperformers. While the players we do sign are often projects and have no impact on our starting eleven, they weaken it even and bloat out the squad.
Not true. We were the biggest transfer fee spenders in the Championship this summer and have a top 3 wage budget. We also signed players before selling.
What players outside their budget do you think Göztepe currently have?

Not an upgrade on what we had whatsoever
What we had on the day he signed is James Bree, and he is an upgrade on Bree.

Chance for Gavin to be a hero today and loved by our fans. Good opportunity for him to change opinions. Win us the game Gav and win the love of the fans.
I'd prefer him to have nothing at all to do.

Some people do like getting carried away, i think land acquistion is clearly a good idea, when its adjacent to the stadium, especially now the stadium has lost a large wack of basic car parking.
But the most important thing is the football and clearly improving our current status !
Increasing revenue through infrastructure projects helps to do that.

Of course it is. We've had an international break and no opportunity to work, as a group, on a new shape.
Roughly two thirds of the squad were here for the full two weeks. Plus the internationals will have had 3 or 4 days training with us.
They have also switched to 4 man defenses late in games this season. So it won't be something they've only had 2 weeks working on.
