This is on Spors. He recruited a young cb when we were crying out for experience/leader to help THB/Wood. He didn’t sort the gk issue in the summer. He signed Downs when we were crying out for a decent striker. He obsesses over signing young players with potential resell value and ignored experience/proven quality. To top it off he gave us a young manager who looked out of his depth so when he inevitably sacked him he gave us another young manager with no managerial experience. The man is a fraud. Spors has presided over this disaster.

The Sporting Director has to be the one to choose the manager otherwise what’s the point in that role? I’m not saying I’d agree with the appointment but surely that has to be the way a functioning football club runs.

People need to park their own views and think about how the fan base as a whole will react. This will unquestionably cause division. We don’t need that. They are supposed to have all this data on managers etc across the world. If they land on GON it’s a)lazy and b) an insult

Spors supposedly likes a high tempo/pressing style rather than possession. If he picks another manager with a different style than that, he has no credit at all. We need to stop flip flopping and stick to something. You can’t keep buy players for one style and then changing a manager to a different style.

Not keen on Viera personally. Definitely DO NOT want Russell Martin. No way. No to Gerrard too.

He’s very Moyes at Man Utd. He has the mentality of a small club manager. Moyes didn’t have the nerve to go for it in games and neither does he. How many CB did we have at one point? 4? 6 defenders?

The issue occurs when managers don’t match the players. Jones was rubbish because he tried to force a style on players not suited to it. The same for Juric. Russell was able to sign players more suitable for this style. Supposedly so has Will Still. I think you can judge someone who’s had a transfer window and pre season more harshly than someone who hasn’t. If.. but more likely when he’s replaced we have to stick to the style of play we want - energy and pressing. We can’t switch again.
