Watched the Pompey game live this morning streamed from Ipad to 46 inch TV using Airplay. Obviously resolution suffered a bit due to the larger screen but it was definitely watchable - probably comparable quality to FSP in Standard Def. at times. Having the sound routed through the home theater system was a definite plus though as was sitting on the sofa instead of in front of my PC. For anyone thinking of trying it - I have noticed the on-demand stuff, highlights videos etc are of a lesser quality streamed than the live games - so make sure to try a live broadcast to see if it is acceptable.

The extradition is just a sideshow anyway. The damage has been done - AND I still don't understand all these claims that PFC is a much more attractive prospect than six months ago. Surely they have even more debt now than they did when CSi 'bought' them - Interest owed to Chinny plus Vlad's £10m loan only adding to the creditors down there. Actually - I do understand it - its Storrie-time - Lampitt/AA Style.

I thought you were taking the p!ss but it actually does say that. Top marketing guru's down at FP then.

Depends how well you get on with your neighbours - but I have always split the cost for fence repairs with my neighbours, regardless of what the deeds state.

All I keep hearing is Britain will be marginalised - and Britain part of the second tier of the EU - and The world will be plunged into a financial ice age if the Euro fails. WTF??? Where is the positive campaign highlighting the benefits of closer financial integration for Britain? Its all threats that is akin to a schoolkid saying 'If you don't play by my rules I'm going to take my ball away and not play with you anymore'. Remember - we were told over a decade ago, that if Britain didn't join the Euro then businesses would abandon the country in droves and it would spell disaster for our economy. Well, we managed to survive. Why is it that the very people who orchestrated the very catastrophe that now exists, are the same people to be trusted with leading us further down the dark alley? Will Britain lose its influence outside the Eurozone? How much influence would Britain REALLY have inside the Franco - German pact that will control the Eurozone? Someone said Cameron has made Britain the Black Sheep of Europe - well I thought we had obtained that title 20 years ago. The sensible solution is to let the Eurozone countries go their own way as they are free to choose to do. Forget the EU, other European states (incl. Britain) can be part of a renewed EFTA as per the original vision in the 1960's. Surely there is room to make both options available to Europe's nations without accusations of derailing the greater European purpose. It does not have to be all or nothing in terms of our relationship with Europe. Either way - there needs to be a referendum. and soon!

Soooooooo.........Is it fair to say that PFC actually have MORE DEBT than they did 6 months ago when they struggled to find a buyer. Oh Dear! BTW - I could be wrong but I seem to remember TBH renegotiated his contract over the summer so don't think he is in £1.9m p.a anymore. Probably took £1.2m a year in return for 2 extra years on his contract or something like that. Anybody know?

This highlights the difference - we were desperate for cash, but not cash at any price - SISU's plans were not deemed good enough and they were told to Foxtrot Oscar. PFC on the other hand.....well, not too choosy eh? As for the Liebherr's - we have the benefit of a dying man's wish - to see us in the PL and challenging for the CL places if I recall correctly. I hope I am not being presumptious in saying this is an emotional investment for the Liebherr family. Sure, when the dream is achieved, or when it appears impossible to achieve - they may decide they have done all they can and look to sell up - but I do not expect them to pull the plug leaving SFC saddled with debt. For that reason, I do not fear what is around the corner or what the post-Liebherr era might bring.

Sorry didn't see your message a couple of days ago - see you took the plunge. Quality on Saints/Brighton was good (far better than the free streams) - HT was amusing watching them editing for the highlights clips. Also watched Derby/West Ham last week and my son has watched a couple of other games. Seems some games have a scoreboard on display but most don't. A slight irritation but as I don't have the patience to wait for the delayed games if there is another option, then it is an irritation I can live with. Like that you can still pause the action like a DVR - though the rewind/ffw options were a bit rough. Also watched 10 mins of one egg-chasers game on the Ipad (wi-fi) just to see what it was like and quality was also good. At this point I am seriously considering laying down the $170 for the annual subs and cancelling FS+. Or maybe the $99 six month deal might be the way to go actually. Don't think Fox have got the Euros.

Don't think they've got one - he resigned last week.

Yeah....like the administrators job last year was to obtain the best deal for PFC's creditors, right? Let's face it, in this instance the administrators job is whatever Mr Chainrai says it is.
-
Ah....TOAST then.

So potentially, they look like entering admin in January, unless some mug is found with cash to burn. Surely at that point they would be looking at a minimum -25 pts. 10 for admin, 5 for 2nd admin in two years, 10 for failing to meet CVA (if there is a punishment for exiting admin without a CVA, there must be a punishment for not honouring the CVA you did put in place). And that still leaves the problem of finding the cash to stay in business. On a lighter note.....how about someone phones up the Pompey Supporters Trust and tells them Saints fans have had a whip round and arrange to present a large cardboard cheque before ko on the 18th. Of course, we would follow the Pompey tradition in honouring the funds behind that cheque.

Exactly!! All this talk of points deductions is almost irrelevant. Even if they get -10, -15 or whatever - the bigger question is where will they find the funds to keep going? As Chris Akers has said - Antonov was supporting the wage payments - so with no further funding available - what happens now? Difficult to see past administration and then liquidation. Finding a buyer? Seriously? I really hope there is a PFC at the end of this - don't like to see any club cease to exist. A painful slide into L1 and L2, yes - but extinction? Where's the fun in that? The banter will be gone, the anticipation of derby days etc. I am guilty of enjoying every last minute of their turmoil - please don't let this be the end.
-
How long before Antonov's lawyers play the 'human rights' card - surrendering himself to Lithuanian authorities would 'endanger his life' etc etc. Is the next move to seize the 'assets' owned by Vlad? Poor old Appy - better get on the phone to Roy and see if he can get his old job back.
-
Does go someway to explaining why new toilets were top of the priority list at Nottarf Krap - must be stretched to capacity with all the brown stuff that must be flowing down there.
-
This ^ Prem teams coming in for our players and unsettling them. New signings unsettling the squad/taking time to fit in. Guly getting the typical South American 'F*ck me, its cold here in January' loss of form. NA might be doing a great job - but some things you just can't control.
-
An enjoyable, relaxing game to watch - bizarre ref performance, but the penalties we got evened out the ones we should have had but didn't. Brighton offered nothing - if the stats showed 58% possession I'm surprised cos I thought it looked more like 75%. Job done. TOP OF THE LEAGUE - WE'RE 'AVIN A LAUGH!!
-
Proving fraud is one thing - proving Antonov had any knowledge of it is a whole different kettle of fishy things.
-
Quite an interesting read - much in the same way as a fiction crime novel. For those that can't be bothered to read it through....here's a summary.... 1. Vladimir Antonov explains that a whole bunch of dodgy stuff didn't go down the way people think and actually had nothing to do with him. 2. Author states he has been unable to confirm Mr Antonov's version of events. 3. Go back to 1 Reminds me of an old saying about sling enough mud and eventually some will stick. Seems Vlad has had more than his fair share of mud slung in his direction.
-
Of course, they had no money 2 days ago - they still have no money...so 'business as usual' and 'operationally unaffected'. However, if criminal charges materialise and asset seizures start to take place....things could get very interesting.
-
PMSL - how deluded? Posted on POL Yep - after all, the interested buyers were just lining up six months ago weren't they?
-
Well, if as is suspected, Chainrai still owns Fratton Park and Gady owns everything else - what do CSI own? Player registrations, £25m of CVA debt and the right to use the global brand that is PCFC? Almost definitely falls on the liability side of the equation. The question might soon be - is Chainrai prepared to become the reluctant owner for a third time?

Yep, Patriots stuttered past the Jets again last night ably assisted by Sanchez - who to be fair didn't seem to get a whole lot of protection. Still not sure it makes up for last January though.
