  1. Lampitt joining PFC seemed odd at the time - but who better to give them the inside track on what they could and couldn't get away with. AA/BC clearly wanted Lampitt to ensure they would be able to bend every rule to breaking point. They must have offered him a sizable wedge to make the move from the FA - and I wouldn't bet against their being a huge (like six /seven figure huge) bonus in there based on keeping PFC afloat long enough for BC's money to be paid back (with interest, of course).
  2. OK...this is the summary.... Originally the CVA called for a payment of £3m within nine months IF that money was raised from Player Sales in August. Then the balance of £13.5m to be paid in six monthly instalments starting Sept 2011. (sorry - meant half yearly not monthly for six months) The revised CVA document in November 2010 confirms that they did not raise the required £3m from Player Sales. Therefore, the entire balance of £16.5m will now be paid in instalments commencing April 2012 and ending June 2015. Note: even these payments are heavily weighted towards the back-end... 15% in 2012 25% in 2013 30% in 2014 30% in 2015. The dumb creditors signed up to this arrangement whereby AA could modify the CVA terms so they will get exactly what is coming to them - which seems quite likely to be nothing.
  3. PFC 'Taking-the-P!ss' November Update Page 5 is what you are looking for.
  4. I think you'll find that payment has been deferred to April 2012. Now you know where the phrase 'credit on the never, never' comes from.
  5. I do - and I have no issues with your assessment of my personality - but JC's books are easy reading and good for a laugh in a non-PC p!ss taking kind of way. The kind of humour that was once appreciated before everyone jumped on thePC bandwagon.
  6. So...How long before Hughes and Brown waive their 'New Contract Clauses' just so they can play? Footballers usually want to play - so I can see some kind of deal being struck - then Pompey have a decent squad.
  7. Maybe, but if you offered me second place right now - I'd bite yer 'and orf.
  8. Don't worry fish-fiddlers - the loan window opens in a week.
  9. This...spot on. NA - tactical genius. Didn't want a draw - sent on Dickson to make sure we didn't get a replay. Brilliant. Proud of the Saints tonight.
  10. Hopefully its 12pm EST......unless you've only got a re-run.
  11. Like any good Saints fan, I'll expect the worst and hope to be pleasantly surpised
  12. Isn't the Season Ticket money being held by the bank and only released on a match by match basis? I know that was the case while they were still in admin, but thought I had read somewhere that it would continue for the season.
  13. From what I recall, only two creditors voted against the CVA - HMRC and one other. So the fact that football creditors may have been included only weakened the HMRC % to block the CVA. All the other creditors either accepted or didn't bother to vote so they only have themselves to blame for allowing AA to push through a CVA that proposes to pay a pittance (less expenses), but also provides them the opportunity to modify the payments because they haven't raised enough funds. I suspect many creditors correctly guessed that regardless of how they voted the result would be the same and they would end up with the princely sum of Fu[k All.
  14. Just back from Gillette Stadium - Patriots never got going, but not sure if they were just poor, or Ryan just outcoached Belicheck - probably both. Brady certainly seemed indecisive. Lots of mightily ****ed off Patriots fans tonight. Think the NFC will take the honours now - probably leaning towards the Packers - but only just.
  15. and Aaron Mokoena picked up his 10th yellow of the season - Two game ban to add to their squad crisis. Cue more bleedin' heart winges from SC.
  16. It was changed in December I think. They didn't raise enough cash from player sales to fund the CVA so they had to put the payments to creditors back - Android and a couple of solicitors will be pulling their fees out this month though.
  17. The bus isn't parked anywhere.....it was clearly stated "the wheels are in motion". Which you would know if you were indeed 'on the bus'. Do keep up.
  18. That is interesting - and encouraging - because I thought UHY had put themselves forward to be appointed liquidator and carry out the forensic investigation. The chances of a proper investigation being carried out appeared dubious under those circumstances, but this offers new hope that Storrie will need that 'soap on a rope' after all. Other than that though - it was a pretty useless article - I love how they seem to think they are best mates with David Lampitt just because he has agreed to feed them some bull**** once a month.
  19. Outstanding signing. Adam signing now (rather than wait till summer) tells me that he is supremely confident that we will go up this year. Well done Nige, Nicola and many thanks Adam!
  20. You actually believe this??? Let me correct it for you.....BEFORE CHAINRAI ARRIVED our debt was PUBLICLY claimed to be around £35m. The real figure is unknown. Its a bit like a corrupt club that goes to the PL in January and presents a statement of affairs that shows debt of £80m which they can largely cover cos they have £50m of playing talent on their books - then a few weeks later goes into admin with debts of £132m. The simple truth - well, no-one has been telling the truth over the finances at PFC for years - so I would suggest that to believe the debts were only £35m when Chainrai got involved is a bit naive.
  21. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jan/07/roy-keane-sacked-ipswich-town The former Newcastle manager Chris Hughton and the former Derby and Wigan manager Paul Jewell are two of the names said to be in contention to replace Keane, as are Portsmouth's manager, Steve Cotterill, and Alan Curbishley. Now that would be funny. Wonder if he has sent his CV in.
  22. Stick or Twist, Mr Chainrai??? So....halfway through the season and Pompey are almost as close to the relegation zone as they are to the play-offs. What does Baloo do? Will Whining Steve ever get that phone call? The next few weeks will tell all. Nice result from Watford today......and the sending off seemed harsh....maybe Mr D'Urso was making amends for the hassle caused to the travelling Saints fans on Boxing Day.
  23. Perhaps because the new decade started 12 months ago.
  24. That's what they have been saying for the last 25 years. Better to be in Europe and have some influence......******....there is a long term agenda that began 35 years ago....We were suckered into the European Community believing it was about trading agreements - we walked into with European Union (with reservation) - we resisted the Euro - but make no mistake - the end game is the United States of Europe. The USofE is the only way the Euro can survive long term so they will not give up on pursuing that goal and will squander billions of taxpayer money in their relentless pursuit of their dream. I have found it largely ironic that over the last 20 years, the various regions of the UK have clamoured for more regional accountability - Scotland and Wales have got their wish - but we have also had at least the North-East and the South-West demanding local assemblies. Yet, at the same time more responsibilities are handed over to Brussels. Contradictory? As for all these businesses that will relocate to foreign shores if we are not in the EU.......none of them should be here....did they not all say they would leave the UK if we did not join the Euro? There was nothing wrong with the idea of a European Community where members could trade freely - it does not have to be full European integration or nothing. tbh - it saddens me that this whole Europe thing has gone this far. The EU does not work for the people - Britain should negotiate a withdrawal that leaves trading avenues open. I'm pretty sure we would not be alone - and leave the Federal Europe to those countries that really want it.
  25. PFC 2010 Annual Awards Ceremony So - a new dawn has been reached (sunk to) in the annals of PFC history. It would only be fitting and appropriate to recognise those whose sterling work and dedication have brought about this latest success in the face of tremendous adversity. The PFC Christmas bash will be a fantastic celebration and I believe the following awards have been well earned..... The Emperors New Clothes Award - Peter Storrie - For convincing the FA that Al Faraj should pass the fit and proper person test when he not only had no clothes, but there was in fact, no body. The Vinnie Jones 'Big Brave Balls' award - AA and David Lampitt - For consistently flicking the 'v's at the FA, PL and FL and getting away it. The Vinnie Jones 'Little Mincey Faggot Balls' Award - High Courts, FA, PL and FL - for shrinking into insignificance when it came time to enforce the laws and regulations that would have ended this saga long ago. The 'Unit 1 Itchy Scratchy Balls' Award - Avram Grant - enough said. The Leaky Sieve Award - FL Transfer Embargo - for having so many holes it may as well have not existed. The David Blaine Award - AA - for creating the illusion for the FL that there is a sustainable business within the corpse that is PFC. The 'Thread that will not die' award - Pompey Takeover Saga - PFC is still for sale. Chainrai doesn't want it so there is still a takeover awaited.....which brings me to.... The 'Fools Gold' Award - TBD - reserved for anyone stupid enough to buy PFC or Realisations or whatever and believe there are riches in Krap Nottarf. .....this thread may go quiet for a while.....but I predict much more entertainment to be had before August. Buckle Up!!!
