Game over - utterly pathetic defending (again).
What the f*** were they doing?
-
Terrible from Henderson again.....we are overrun in midfield and have not created anything
-
dear lord.....we look like a pub team right now. Got to settle down
-
That was coming.....ENgland absolutely dreadful this half
-
Thoughts so far after watching the full game.
(1) Armstrong is going to be a good player for us
(2) Need Vestergaard and Marlon at the back
(3) Give Gabby a chance and he will score.
(4) Austin is going downhill fast
(5) Gallagher is a good option off the bench
(6) Beginning to think Stephens is a major weak link
And how many times have you ever seen Vestergaard and Marlon play? Typical saints web nutter who thinks anyone is better than we already have despite never having seen them play before.
Proper headcases on here

England's to lose on Wednesday. Croatia are poor and will hopefully still be exhausted Wednesday
-
England having nothing to fear. Both these sides are terrible. Lets hope for extra time

Is VFFT a verified ITK?
More than most on here.

Can't believe anyone would give that clown a job. So far out of his depth it was untrue and utterly clueless and without a single attacking instinct. Reed and co completely screwed us over with that muppet.

Bit late to the party on this one. San Diego is an absolutely gorgeous city with perfect weather. Last year we stayed downtown at a Marriott Vacation Club which was an absolutely perfect location, really close to the Gas Lamp district and walking distance to the Marina.
Like many West Coast cities, homelessness is a massive problem but never felt unsafe. So many great places to visit in San Diego it is untrue - we loved the Karl Strauss brewery downtown. Great food and beer there.
To be honest, if you're flying into LAX I would stay somewhere like Pasadena and skip Palm SPrings which my customers out that way are pretty scathing about. A lot of the LA tourist traps are awful but there are some tremendous places outside of downtown LA.

Completely ambivalent about this appointment. He deserves a chance having kept us up (mainly due to the crap teams around us) but I don;t think this will be a successful marriage long term.
Also very concerned that younger players will not get a look in and that he will bring in useless SToke players or past it has beens. Certainly don;'t think we will be seeing entertaining football any time soon as that is not in his DNA
-
What a bunch of t***s on here. Stephens obviously the latest in a long list of whipping boys. Seriously, I do wonder if some of you understand football at all.
Funny how the pundits who played the game are very complimentary about Stephens on the whole. He has done well and simply needs a stronger leader alongside him. To say Stones is twice the player is just outright nonsense.
See out forum experts blamed him for the City goal on Sunday whereas it was actually Hoedt playing Jesus onside that was the culprit. Still, why let any truth get in the way of reality eh?

I'd love to see Brendan Rodgers come in - entertainment would be back then. Not convinced, despite the miracle he has pulled off, that Hughes is a good fit for us long term

I knew we would win.....as my Washington Capitals beat Pittsburgh in the NHL play-offs for first time in 20+ years. When my Washington teams (Capitals and Redskins) win Saints invariably do (which obviously, is not that often!)
-
Tomorrow is quite simple: win or bust.
We'll see if any of our players that have been spineless for so much of the season have the stomach for a full-on battle
-
I hope for a win tomorrow night that would make Sunday much more relaxing.
However, I suspect we'll draw yet again and then it'll be on to Sunday with all to play for.
Saints will take an early lead against City while Stoke also take a 1-0 lead into half time. Hope rises at St Mary's.
Stoke score a second while Saints are camped in their own half as City pass it around. McCarthy rescues another back three mistake.
20 minutes to go and the ref awards City a free kick on the edge of our area after Hoedt dives in needlessly. The free kick takes a deflection and the ball nestles in the back of the net. 1-1.
Soon afterwards word comes in that Swansea have a goal back.1-2.
Saints are defending manfully but Long breaks away with just the City 'keeper to beat. His shot hits the post and bounces to safety.
As it stands Saints are still up and Sky Sports show the table as it stands while going into a frenzy of hyperbole.
We move into the 90th minute and the City players are starting to think about the World Cup. Stephens passes across the Saints defence to Hoedt who slips on the over-watered pitch. Sane nicks the ball and slips it to Sterling who is a yard offside. The assistant keeps his flag down as Sterling rounds McCarthy and slides the ball into the empty net. 1-2 and Saints still up on goal difference.`
Saints are on the attack and the ref blows for full time after not enough extra time has been played. The focus switches to Swansea where there are 8 minutes added time. Dyer falls over in the box and the referee awards a penalty even though the ex-Saints forward tripped over his own feet. It's the last kick of the game. The penalty hits the post, comes back and hits the 'keeper on the back of the head before trickling over the line. 2-2.
At St Mary's the players fall to the floor in despair. Sky Sports are ecstatic.
Probably best to get that win tomorrow night.
Brilliant - and probably not far from how it will pan out!

MLS is utterly awful. The quality is terrible and says it all that Wright-Phillips is talked up like this when he didn't play regularly for L1 CHarlton.
PLenty of excitement and atmosphere at MLS games....but quality, absolutely not.
-
Romeu - you t**t.
-
Tadic! Great break and goal. Badly needed.
-
Cedric - utter s***e, Redmond, utter s***e........long ball crap.
This is a team devoid of ideas, confidence and talent.
-
And that team selection shows exactly why we are going down. Tadic, Hoedt, Lemina, Romeu all absolutely terrible.
Players that play for the shirt (JWP, Sims, Stephens, PEH) all on the bench.
WHile HUghes is not as bad as Pellegrino (no-one could be) he is still a terrible, terrible manager.
-
3 in each of the last four league games. Did you forget Newcastle?
Trying to..........
-
I agree! I ve seen enough in the last 2 games to see that our form is shifting and that we can get those results.
We are far from down, yes the table looks bleak but beat leicester on Thursday and everyone will be talking about survival again.
Leicester are out of form have nothing to play for and remind me of us last season when Puel couldn t get us playing in the last 10 games.
Have a little faith our performance was top draw for 70 mins today and i m sure M H will remind the players this in training on Monday.
Chelsea are deadly when on song and we were at the receiving end of this when they got a goal out of nothing we were completely in control up to that point we were pressing really well, just lacked composure at that key moments.
Keep the faith guys!!!! COYS!!!
There is optimistic and then there is plain la-la ...... and this falls under the latter category. Our form shifting? What? You mean conceding 3 in each of the last 3 games?
-
Bring in some of the younger players. Players like Sims, Hesketh, McQueen should all be given a go as we will need them next season.
Bunch of spineless pussies we have in our team and don't care if we never see Tadic again.

THis should be France's world cup all day long. England don't deserve to be in the Final....been terrible since 2nd half but have exceeded all expectations.
