Offered nothing THB - 5. Stupid booking but not really tested Stephens - 6. Led the line without truly being challenged Downes - 3. Awful and hope he is now a bit part player. Always looking backwards rather than forwards and gves the ball away Charles - 6. Probably, wih Fraser, our best outfield player Fellowes - 5. Meh Azaz - 4. Awful Fraser - 6. Probably our most threatening Archer - 5. No service, no support but the ball didnt stick

There's only one team playing today...and it's not Saints. This is absolutely terrible and I have been underwhelmed with Still so far this season. Hoofiing the ball forward every time we get it is not the Southampton way.

This is as embarrassing a performance a I have seen from Saints (and yes, that includes he 9-0s). THis is a performance without any saving graces (except Fraser and McCarthy). Will Still will start getting pelters in the near future if we persists with this shit style and line-up. Every time we've played this season with 5 at the back we've looked comical with no midfield. An absolute joke of a performance and awful, awful tactics.

A damning indictment of our recruitment the last few years: Stewart - so far off the pace it will take months to get up to speed and he has not looked clinical any time he has played Downs - speechless. Looks like he's never played before Armstrong - given a new contract when clearly not good enough for the top level. Been abysmal this season Archer - what an utterly abysmal signing this guy was BBD - why? And these are all still here playing. It's tragic that our most dangerous attacking threat is an 18 year old (Robinson) or CBs. Shambles of a club - and it does not seem to be getting better

YOu could argue if we keep both/either of Fernandes and Dibling those would be 2 major statements.

So happy to be back in the Championship. More enjoyment in 1 game (obviously cos we won) than the whole of last season. Terrible ref (but no VAR thank god!), dodgy team selection but 90 + 6 minutes of sheer entertainment. Massive work for Saints to do but we should be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. A strange move this one. Dibling is far from the finished product (in fact, I'd go as far as to say Robinson is looking the better of the 2 so far) and Everton is not a big club in the truest sense. This would effectively be a sideways move for him. He has the potential to be a top, top player but his form fell off a cliff after a really bright start last season. For the price tag being bandied about you'd think a club would be looking for the finished article and not a rough diamond

With all due respect, based on the majority of TYler's performances last season he will not be a marquee signing. He needs time and patience - once Prem defenders worked out how to nullify his threat he became anonymous in games. He should still become a real star but it wont be overnight. I still think he'd be best served by staying at Saints but sure that won't happen

Nope, you're not but you'll get drowned out by the usual suspects who love their 'whipping boys' whether its Bazunu or Jack Stephens. I don't get the blind hatred/dislike for players who are doing what they can and want to be here. Two goals yesterday he could do nothing about (defenders were at fault) and some great saves but of course it's easier to micro-analyze the goals and come up with the (foregone) conclusion it's all Baz's fault and any decent keeper would save them. Ramsdale was good (on the whole) last season but he was far from perfect but the ususal suspects loved him.

What a throughly depressing side Still is going to put out. Bree, Manning,Archer, Armstrong, Fraser, BBD, Taylor, Stephens - awful. So Robinson is the stand out player in pre-season but obviously is not getting a look in. Thoroughly underwhelmed with Still so far.

Selective history there......i was Wilde and co that drove SFC to the birnk of oblivion and Lowe came back to try and mend it all (but was unsuccessful). And he's quite right - that is discrimination and the whole DEI woke mindset is an absolute travesty. Hire people based on their merits.

Thing is Morgan is 18 (maybe 19 now?) and will be a top, top player. He was banging them in for the Chelsea U21s and was successful in his loan spells. Whether he will ever play for Chelsea is another matter entirely........
