Damion Downs was signed at the beginning of last season, I'd say that's ample time to prove whether he's at our level irrespective of the number of starts he's had. He's had loan spells at lower levels than us and failed, so this is a pretty pointless example you've provided. We all know hes nowehre near the level we need, so no point being a dick about it.

I mean, we've seen enough of him to know he's clearly not good enough for our level, so i don't get how this is relevant. If you understand what I've said, I'm referring to judging players before they kick a ball for us, or without a reasonable amount of time to integrate. In fairness, some fans actually gave Dobbin 30 minutes before writing him off. Fair play for allowing him that time to settle. It's all getting a bit common here, Larin, Dobbin, Azaz when he joined, people were on his case after his early performances. Fellows, Archer. Last season, Manning and Bree copped a load. Even saw a bunch of crap when Peretz joined, although tbf, a lot of that was people taking issue to their understanding of his political views. We've clearly missed out on our preferred targets. Seems sensible to use a loan, rather than chuck 15 mil that turn out to be duds that we can't shift, like Downs... Yes we'd have liked a bit more experience, but lets give the lad a handful of games at least.

Yep, it's quite embarrassing to see how many of our fans jump the gun and slag off/display discontent with new signings, only to look like a bunch of muppets when they're wrong. It's pretty common practise, sadly.

Oh we are that twatish. The way we've slagged off our own players, managers and board should be enough to tell anyone our fans would absolutely have a meltdown if the shoe was on the other foot.
