  1. Redknapp used to do this. It was the very first of the warning signs right from the off, distance yourself from the problems at hand.
  2. He absolutely should’ve hit the target, but it wasn’t completely glaring. A very good chance, but not as clear as the one that forest rattled the bar with at your end.
  3. Lyanco’s place seemed to be dictated by the fact that he was the sweeper who would hit long balls around the pitch. Most of which didn’t come off. I’m guessing DCC wasn’t entrusted with the wide CB role due to lack of pace, but it’s a guess. Jones is determined with this 3 CB formation while we’ve all had months of watching it fail. Supposedly he’s watched all of our games this season in full detail, I can only think he missed pre season and the first couple of league games until we dispensed with the shambles of a system.
  4. We’ll have to agree to disagree. It’s no good him saying “we just can gift sides goals”, while also picking a liability in Lyanco who had a horror show last game whereby he was a defensive calamity, then he has picked him again. It’s no good saying “it’s on me” when he’s had weeks and weeks to imprint his style on this team and we are demonstrably worse than before. It’s no good saying we were comfortable in defence when they scored and had the second best chance of the game when they rattled the bar from a free shot just a few yards out. Its just nonsense words that aren’t cutting through with his players or the supporters. It’s just weak.
  5. BBC here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64106273 “We didn't have enough quality”. ”They’ve been low on confidence for a while”. “We gifted them a goal and that’s symptomatic of what’s been going on here over a long period of time” Fuck off. Absolute chancer.
  6. I know managers have to try and pick the positives, but fucking hell. That the epitome of a performance where you hold your hands up and say that, management team and players, we got it all wrong. Dont see where our next win is coming from under this bellend. The players clearly aren’t buying in to his nonsense tactics either. Just get rid, salvage whatever is left of pride, and prepare for life in the championship next season.
  7. He quite clearly caveated it with “for us”. Because, for us, it was comparatively a big spend.
  8. His family members on here can do the same as him and just fuck off please.
  9. It seems like it was only Lyanco having to come off that changed it, stadium announcer said that the instruction was for Elmo to come off instead, it was only a late injury that made the change to formation. Without that we’d have gone the full game with a failed formation.
  10. Fucking hell, I loved Nigel Adkins when he was here, but FFS get a grip please people.
  11. Ok, I’ve seen enough. Nathan Jones is an abomination at this level, he is making a bad situation much, much worse. He has installed literally nothing positive since he came, the team look lost and so does he. He’s just overseen a defeat against the second worst side in the division, and his side haven’t had a single shot on goal. Saints are going down without question. The question is just if we take this idiot with us, I fucking hope not. He’s brought nothing to the party, he basically the equivalent of Wigley / Gray / Dodd & Gorman / Dean Wilkins.
  12. Dear god, what just happened?! No one attacking the corner, then Armstrong does…..well, that.
  13. 😆 yeah I’m delighted with tonight pal, obviously.
  14. At least you can’t blame Bazunu today. Although you probably will find a way 👍
  15. If he hadn’t been so recently appointed, this performance would convince a lot of clubs to immediately get rid of the manager. Im done with him. Jones out. Utterly useless manager overseeing a disorganised rabble. A decent manager wouldn’t get this lot much, but we’re playing even worse than the sum of our parts.
  16. It was the away fans singing that. Saints fans are fickle but they don’t turn quite so toxic so quickly.
  17. Me too, but ours are too depressed right now to pick up their voices.
  18. “Nathan Jones, what a wanker, what a wanker” and “sacked in the morning” echoing out from the fans. The away fans, unfortunately.
  19. Lavia and Perraud off.what formation are we having now then? Oh good, still 3 at the back it seems.
  20. An hour in, we’ve had zero shots on target, and we haven’t changed anything other than replacing a crocked CB like for like. Fucking abject Jones.
  21. BRILLIANT new tactic.take Salisu off ‘long’ throws and give them to Lyanco instead.
  22. I think you’re kind of missing the point. No one surely thinks Ralph is worse than Jones. The mistake was not getting rid of Ralph, it was replacing him with Jones. I’m not sure how much simpler I can put it.
  23. He’s not up to it. We had two shots on goal all half. These players are in a formation that has proven,m time and again, does not work with them. At least the St Mary’s pitch looks good. Unsurprising given the millions of pounds worth of shit we put on it every week.
  24. They’ll give a fuck next year when it’s only parachute revenue and not PL broadcast lolly.
  25. Exactly where I’m at. This second half needs to be monumentally better to give me even a glimmer of optimism. We just look disorganised and clueless. Jones looks like he’s having a negative impact.
