Wow, are people actually taking this seriously?
-
I'd prefer it if we went for Franco Baresi.

They're not allowed to start a second season in administration; no golden share for that. I wonder what the FL regulations are for them coming out of admin in the close season (as to when they get the points penalty?!) I perhaps wouldn't be surprised to see that its not in the FL rulebook right now!

Jesus, I think the world would implode. 'Arry leaning out of the window of his Range Rover rentaquoting while Cortese is chasing away the gathered reporters with a sh*tty stick.
-
Or it also suggests he's had his knuckles rapped by NC about speaking to the press. Adam Blackmore has already this week been banned by Cortese from speaking to NA, following his blog with Adkins' quotes from Monday.
-
I'll forward you that PM then, give me a minute or two.

Premier League rules are a minimum of 3,000 seats (minus segregation) or 10% of total capacity, whichever is the lower figure.

Cheers for the PM Turkish; very interesting.

There's times I feel sorry for them. Then it just takes another little moment, such as Appy crying his heart out that his squad isn't competitive so can local companies please forgive their previous indiscretions and gift the club £60K for players that other clubs in the league can't afford (while they happily send out youngsters on loan and not play them in case they are registered as in their quota of players), and you realise they just will never, ever learn their lesson. Which is why I wish them Chainrai, then liquidation, and then best of luck to the trust who can pick them up from that and hopefully rebuild a club that isn't mired in complete sh*te from top to bottom.
-
If Chainrai is bidding then the Trust no longer have a bid, as their council loan will not be honoured. So if Chinny wants it and meets the terms of the CVA, he's in. I'm sure the £4m plus in cash reserves are very appealing to him right now (although Tricky Trev will probably hoover up half of that for his wedge of the fees). Chinny is in a better position to negotiate for what he wants if he sits in place. So he can take over, run it on a shoestring, likely trouser what parachute payments he can and get out of the club before all repayments to players are up.

I think you're there already...

What's the point? Its not as if he could be proven right or wrong, is it?

The televised protest from the hordes of angry Pompey fans went well then [from one of their message boards]: :lol::lol:

I agree and said this at the time, I don't think Morgan had too good a game at all. He was easily brushed off the ball when in posession at least 2 or 3 times, and its been a consistent part of his game for too long now that he's often too casual and makes stupid needless mistakes that put us in trouble. I have real concerns about him at Premier League level and think he has got a lot to prove. 95% of the time he's good, its the 5% of his game that he won't get away with at a higher level.
-
I'm having to make-do with fansonline. Its like a meeting place for the paranoid and delusional to spread their vitriol, there's currently at least 10 threads dedicated to the latest news. One of them is suggesting that Tricky Trev will need protection if he lets Chanrai back in.
-
Sure. Chainrai's wage budget that he'd allow is an absolute pittance ; much less than now with the club chuntering on under Tricky Trev. So they'd be a surefire bet for relegation this season, surely. The PST will not take over with their current bid, so that's out of the equation. So the other prospects are them continuing with Trev and continuing to flout the rules, or going out of business and getting resurrected by the PST as a non-league entity and hearing all sorts of tales about what a bunch of heroes they all are. Much better to have Chinny at the helm to bleed them dry, run the club on a shoestring while extracting every last morsel of money to line his pockets, and we have something to laugh at while their fans completely self-destruct. Classic stuff.

Its times like these I wish I hadn't outed myself on POL; I'd love to see the sh*tstorm that's going down on there right now!
-
Chainrai getting the club again is such a better prospect than any other of the potential scenarios. Love it.

Lee Barnard to Bournemouth on loan - Confirmed
The Kraken replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Having watched them against Pompey I'd stick my neck out and say that they won't be getting promoted anytime soon. They were horrendous and very lucky to get a point. -
He was on the bench. Came on for Fellaini towards the end, I think.
-
Surprisingly only 5 foot 11. Very short for a CB.
-
Skintsaint is the real villain in the piece, very conspicuous by his absence

Of course, I'm willing to wait until the end of the window to judge the sum total of our signings. I expect us to bring in at least a winger and a CB in that time. I don't think we'll get more in that time, if we do I'm happy to hold my hands up. Do I trust the club? Of course, I've never for once stated that they are not active in trying to bring in targets. There's a few issues I have with some of our reported transfer dealings but that's by the by; in general our management and transfer committe have got far more right than they have wrong. I just recognise that the Hooiveld transfer was a real gamble last season, and we may have to pull of the same again this season. Some gambles pay off, some don't, and the longer it is we don't sign a CB the more that risk factor goes up IMO. And also having heard the manager identify 4 or 5 positions for strengthening that haven't been addressed (that's nearly half a team) I'm obviously concerned where that leaves us if we don't fulfill our targets.

Good. Torres is skipper in my dream team, nice points.
