Love the fact that you think if you say something with authority someone will believe you. Titus Bramble made 8 appearances last season. 5 of the 8 were when Michael Turner was out injured at the beginning of the season. Turner made 28 appearances last season, and was pretty much an ever present when he came back from injury. I knew there was a reason you were on ignore, and that's because you spout ******** 90% of the time. -

I worry for your ability to judge players if you don't think Turner is a better centre back. -

But that is the point!! Off that list of players there are a massive amount that we'd take that would be accessible. The same as if we had a list for defenders, midfielders or attackers. Another player we should have looked at who's 10 times better and 4 times cheaper than Dann, Michael Turner. -

Bloody bell, yes I have. Michu > Davis Naughton > Clyne Maiga > Rodriguez The point is that we don't need players for the future we need players for now. -

Why are people misunderstanding this? It's like talking to a brick wall. Charming Man gets what I'm on about, so why can't others? Obviously not reading the threads, and as such are spouting ignorant opinions. Seriously guys and girls, read before answering. -

Yeah, awful, they stayed up. But that's not actually the point, we're not saying we should sign players like them. Quality does not have to be expensive, and if you have a good knowledge of football then there is quality/value to be had everywhere. -

Rodriguez and Clyne were linked with better clubs, but not as first team players, as prospects. There was no way Rodriguez was going to replace Jelavic, or Clyne go straight into the United side. However, we have bought these players as first teamers. They may be great in a few years, but we're gambling. I'm not saying I want players with bigger reputations. However, I would like players with quality. Michu went to Swansea for £2m. £2m!! Anyone who watched him last season will realise how good this guy is. He is proven quality, was on small wages and should have been bought. The same could be said about Diame, Maiga etc. We should try for N'Zonzi. Jonathon De Guzman is quality. All lesser known players but with top quality. Geoff Cameron is a great CB, and is available for £2m. -

Naughton, Michu and Gary Hooper. And that's just of the players we've been linked with. -

That's not what I am saying, and also not what I want. I want quality, and I do not believe ee have.particularly bought this so far. Nowhere have I mentioned big names. I love the way people misunderstand posts on this forum to create their own little arguments. -

3 top 10 standard players? What gives you that idea? 2 have only ever played in the Championship and the other played in the Scottish Prem. Doesn't make them top 10 and grankly we can't wait 3 years for them to become that. -
Is anybody slightly worried at the quality of footballers we're being linked with? Personally the players we've bought are alright, but I yhink they're lacking in real quality, even compared to mid table Prem teams. Players like Scott Dann for instance. We need to be aiming higher than poor Premiership players who had one lucky season sat in a 10-0-0 formation. I wonder if we're struggling to attract players due to the amount of money we're willing to spend/pay in wages, or due to Adkins not being a big name draw? Anyone else a little worried?

Why do people make these blatantly incorrect statements? Both Ashton and Cole got into the England squad whilst at West Ham. -

What was this about? -
Not really, cos I've based my opinion on me seeing him, not what other fans think.

Would prefer to have Desperate Dan. Seen the guys a lot as friends with a big Blackburn fan and the guy is horrendous. Would be really, really worried if we bought him.

I agree. I wish people would stop biting and replying to him until he ****s off back to get bullied on TUI. People don't realise that if you ignore them they'll soon get bored. -

Saints interested in Lens apparently?

Babel didn't fail in the Premier League! He was half decemt at a big club. He'd be a star in a low to mid table side. -
