Ho Ho Ho...that's rather strange what you say about no money for Marc Wilson.... As most reports at the time of the transfer indicate that Poopey got money plus Kitson and Lawrence..... Yeah - great deal - so you sold a player for cash who was probably on less than £10k per week, but then brought in two players for £20k per week. Like I said on here yesterday, my cousin sent Solent a text about 'quality over quantity' - and Pompey's double standards, and yet they wouldn't read it out. They're as guilty as any of perpetuating the myth.

From all the Pompey forums I've lurked on - I don't think they could cope with a thread this long.... It says more about the design and useability of this forum that it's stretched as long as it has TBH. All Pompey and non SWF ones for Saints are more of a pain to bloody follow. But if they're able to put themselves into Admin before the 20th, they can't get wound up - yet. That will give them the temporary protection from creditors (incl HMRC) - however, it comes down to cashflow again. They need someone to bankroll it, or for the FL to advance them payments. Sadly I think they'll get away with it, for now. Happy to be proved wrong....

My cousin texted Solent about Poopey and Solent plugging the whole 'small squad whinging'..which was prevalent again during the Pompey commentary. Basically he said , 'time to stop going on about the small squad - what about 'quality over quantity' - Pompey COULD have bought 2 players on 10k but chose to buy one on 20k. MoanyPenny was laying on thick on Solent this morning. I love the way she goes on about Pompey being owned by local businesses and fans. Good old Jugears though 'What about those businesses who were (should have said 'still are') owed money by the club'. She also moans about AA not taking them seriously, but then she admitted (probably carelessly) 'it would be nice for the supporters trust to be involved in the running of the club' - so then, do they have the money to take over or not??? Perhaps, that's why AA won't give them the time of day Penny - it ain't rocket science.

One other thought.... If you were a promising player coming through the U21's - would you be happy, based on Redknapp's record (WHU aside) with young players? He won't bring them through. It'll be same old, same old. The only reason I want him to be England manager is so the press hound him like the football chancer that he is.

So basically... MoneyPenny claims the high ground by getting in earlier about their meeting with HMRC tomorrow. Meeting happens, HMRC tell them to F off.
