Who remembers the Southend ''love in'' from a few seasons back when we got into the playoffs on the last day of the season. Wouldn't it be a strange coincedence if we again turned our form around (as we did that year after beating Wolves 6-0 away) and had to beat them again at home on the last day to gain a playoff spot. If I remember rightly a playoff seemed just as unreachable at this time that season as it does this one. I think we can do it

no your right u didn't, but your missing the bigger picture of my post. some people think saints v pompey is a couldron of violence compared to other rivalries, when it is quite clear that it isn't. there isn't even any real history between it. ask the older generation who went to football pre 1970's and they used to watch both teams play and always look out for pompeys results, they don't hate them but the younger lot do... why is that?

how many of you have pompey mates? i know so many people who support pompey who are quality people. its good to have a local rival, but the pure hatred some people pretend to have is ridiculous. can anyone give me a genuine reason why we ''historically'' hate them?

i cant do these predictor things because no matter the team i am just like ''yeah we wil beat them'' and we end up having amazing bursts of form where we get maximum points in the run up to close season! haha

the difference is mate, cardiff actually have a hardcore mob where as we dont. also there were 250 coppers on duty at our game. luton v oxford had 200 and some riot police the other week, and thats just a random non league game... also millwall west ham had 1250 police at their derby last year... u get my drift!? our rivalry isnt actually that big a deal because we are generally 'nice family clubs' and its a good thing bud !
