I am looking around the threads on here and listening to the current news about our club and its all about our financial situation being horrific. Now what immediately comes to my mind is the players wages. Why haven't they all decided to help the clubs plight by donating a weeks wages? After all the crap they have put us through this year surely its the least they owe us? Or better yet, why don't they just frikking try to win games (if they do try it doesn't show with constant pathetic performances week in week out)!! It really really annoys me how we all work hard all week to find the pennies to go and watch our beloved club play football but all we are really doing is paying ridiculously over the top wages for completely useless and lazy people to kick a football around and be very poor at it too. Why dont they at least try? Why dont they put in spirited performances and show they care? Why dont they try to do something to help out our club in its current slump down the football league? Surely they owe it to us and the community? Why dont they themselves try to help raise money to pay their wages? How do they sleep at night knowing that the general working class public are doing bucket collections and parting with their hard earned money during one of the hardest economic climates for years, just to pay for their over the top wages whilst they go and perform like a tyro team? I cant understand it. We must be morons to support it, we are basically all personally making these players rich for being useless. Its a joke, I think performance related pay should be brought into football. It would definately make games more exciting if the team had to win to get paid, and I bet they would ****ing try hard then!! Anyway I dont know the point in this rant, I dont know why I support saints anymore, I dont know why I care when these overrated prima donnas dont give two ****s. Oh well, at least its over, for another week anyway.

Exactly, its amazing how people are on this thread giving you grief and saying that your going to look stupid when they are doing absolutely nothing themselves to try and help the club. Some fans on here are so ridiculously negative that its a wonder that they haven't slit their wrists by now. If a fans consortium was done properly and ran the right way by the right people (and I believe this is), then you will have no problem convincing the real supporters that this can and will be a success. Lastly, you guys are really doing a great job and I feel that some TSW users underestimate how important this job you are doing could end up being for the future of Southampton FC.

4,300 sounds like alot, but if we get that amount then yeah I guess most will get a ticket.

The FL wont deduct us points, they cant. They are just making a massive deal of it to save face, no doubt though that after this fiasco they will close the holding company loophole thing though.

They have been treated like a joke. The FL should be ashamed but by them taking legal action against the FL they aren't doing it against us so we dont need to worry about it.

As Forest away could potentially and most likely now be a massive game, our allocation will sell out quickly I am sure. Anyone thinking about getting their hands on tickets for the home end?? Could end up as the only way to see the game.

I just want to say derry that you're doing a great job. I feel this is the best option for us anyway without an investor and wouldn't see you having any problem raising the money for this fans consortium. Good luck with this and keep up the good work.

I havent looked into it but I am certain that if the right person got behind a ''fans takeover'' (i.e. MLT) we could easily get enough investment and interest to make it possible. Plus we would then never have to worry about having a poor chairman again as we would make all the decisions... I just wish I had enough credibility among the community and was a respected and recognisable enough person to be able to run such a thing.

Why dont the fans get a consortium together? WE COULD BUY THE CLUB AND RUN IT OURSELVES. This really isnt as ludicrous as it sounds either...

I really hope we win today too and we stay up and he is hailed a hero. I dont want though him to ever relay that the teams performances is directly due to the fans, it quite simply just isn't.

How can anyone agree with what he has said. He has stereotyped all protesters without any understanding of; what is going on in the protests, why we're protesting and who is protesting. He has been here just over six months and thinks he has the right to judge us?! Give me a break, the blokes a farse. As one of the most infuential figures involved in the club he should be trying to get us on his side, not wind us up.

I hate text as without the tone of the sentence you never get the full message. I think it sarcasm which is totally lost on internet forums when it doesnt have 'tone' with it.
