Didn't you say that you either a) Made other arrangements or b) Are not really bothered so you will PAYG
You are a tedious little trolling c*nt. Back on ignore you go.
Every single thread about season tickets etc you come on and try and shout down anyone who thinks they have been dealt a harsh hand by the club. You obviously don't, but what is it with your martyr position with regards to SFC, you have made other arrangements or whatever... f*ck off on another thread and start talking about the new season then.
cry baby.

oh god, people have forgotten :-(
'very close to PL return'?! ****ing hell. scraping into the playoffs then losing having been given more money than anyone in the league, higher wage caps and and better squad to begin with? no success in my book. we never looked like going up and never came close to deserving to. we banked on going up that season, and the best he could do was 6th. we basically risked the club on promotion. what kind of sick **** goes all in on george burley?
that didn't sound right.
But its not Burleys fault he was given money to spend! Blame the board for that, ANY manager, will want to improve the team, buy what they think are better players. You can criticise who he bought but you cant blame him for spending the money that the board authorised him to spend. Like it or not we were very close to a PL return, knocked out on penalties to the team that went on and went up with Leon Best scoring the most spectacularly ridiculous own goal you'll ever see.

He wasn't in charge for that match. He'd been appointed earlier that day and was watching from the stands.
OKay, thanks for the pedantacism (is that a real word) he didn't pick the team that night, i know, even if he did you could hardly blame him for the shambolic performance given he had only been there a day, which is one of the worst i can remember. However it was still his first game as manager. The point is we were awful and Pearson improved us.
-
Pearson came in with no money, no pre-season, a massive injury crisis especially in defence, a team which were well on the slide before he took over. I am not going to criticise Burley as that is in the past. But Pearson did make a difference. In his 13 games in charge he got 16 points. That is not a great number. It is only great when you compare it to the previous 13. It was a big increase of points.
For the money Burley spent and the players we had you would expected more. If Pardew spent £12m i am sure majority of you would expect auto promotion.
I wish him the best at Palace but for a manager to have been managing for 19 years have 1 promotion, 4 sackings from his 6 jobs (2 mutual) i don't think that is an all too impressive record. Just like with Scotland i don't think he will do much there. He is not a man manager, having no money to buy players will test him. It will be interesting to see how he get's on like that.
I'm not saying Pearson didn't do a good job, i remember well his first game against Plymouth, lost 0-2, could and should have been 0-6, we were woeful. But overall Burley didn't do as bad a job as everyone makes out, he didn't spend the money, he told the board the players he wanted and then the board transact the deal, its not his fault we we got in debt every manager worth their salt will always want to improve the team and spend money made available. The players we had that season Surman, John, Safri, Skacel, etc should never have been in a relegation battle and under Burley they weren't, they were midtable.
Add to Burleys record taking a relatively small provincial club like Ipswich to a fifth place premier league finish and Europe, 4 (?) play offs, an average scottish PL team to top of the table when he left, no he hasn't won anything, but not may do.
-
He wasn't that bad!!! When he left we were midtable, by the end of the season we only stayed up with a win on the last day and the season and Pearson was branded a hero by some for that, season before one kick away from a play off final. Give any manager money and he'll spend it, he only identified the players the chairman agrees the contracts, Ewells bonuses FFS!!! WIth the boardroom battles going on at the time i think any manager would struggle in those circumstances.

I don't think I have once said that I think the tickets are too expensive ( although I have stated the match tickets and season tickets are not only one of/the most expensive tickets in the league, and well in the top half of the Championship, even more expensive than a large number of Premiership clubs ) , I have no problem with the cost, which is acceptable.
The issue is the way the club is deliberately trying to make the purchasing of season tickets as restrictive and awkward as possible to ensure minimal takeup... that is wrong in my opinion, shows a complete lack of care for the customer and infact shows a contempt for the customer.
I have no problem paying for success. What I do have a problem with is being treated like a complete mug by the club. If the club is not taken to task with regards to this then it will only get worse.
Like you, I couldn't give a toss about the new kit, beers, pies or any other crap like that, but I do take issue with the club exploiting and ripping off fans.
You get too worked up Stu, i was going to get a season ticket this season, as there is no installment plan i'm not, i'll just buy per game, as i have done for the last few years, makes no odds to me either way, i'll still go to games. In some ways it better not to have a season ticket, you can sit where you want, if you cant be arsed to go then you do feel obliged you go because you have allready shelled out for a season ticket. I think people seem to think there is some sort of status associated with having a season ticket, that it in someway makes you a better fan and they have to have one, like they have to have a new kit not only that but have to have it on the day it comes out, then announce it to the world on here, that they queued from 6.30, did this that and the other. How often when you ask someone if they are a Saints fan do they reply 'yeah, season ticket holder' when a simple 'yes' would do? You have a choice to go to games or not, if it doesn't suit you or think you are being fleeced, dont go. Its not like fukcing council tax which IS a rip off but you've got no choice but to pay it.

I agree that we had the potential to sell up to 20,000 season tickets this season with a realistic pricing structure and a customer focused buying experience. There will not be 12k season tickets this year. The club is not even advertising them on their website anymore, let alone in the local press/media. Everything they have done is to ensure as minimal takeup of season ticket holders as possible. We could/would have had between 17 and 20k season ticket holders if they had priced accordingly.
Do you not agree that the club has treated their customers shocking? Do you not agree that season ticket holders deserved at least a renewal pack?
I dont agree, for once the club and I it seems shares the view that i have held for a long time that what goes on on the pitch is more important than anything else. More important than burgers, pies, beer, radio stations, half time entertainment and pandering to the whim of every one that will always find something to moan about. Decent players, playing decent football and actually showing abit of ambition and try to win something, if we have to pay a bit more for a bit of quality then i am all for it, thats why i buy my clothes at Sakks and not primark.

W******, what Turkish is probably doing; or change it to an adjective....

How about it to be in keeping with our 125 years of history and the new shirts to dress like our ancestors way back when ? The last away game fancy dress would also be sorted !!
HOw about all dressing normally and sensibly and trying to be crazy?

Sad that a player who stayed at the club instead of going for a better contract towards the end of his career is so disrespected by so called supporters.
Perhaps the opening post was a tad unrealistic but considering that 2 of the keepers who went played for teams who were relegated or in the scrap, shows the keepers are not that good.It is so funny when I hear the expression , 'He's a good shot stopper but' Lol
It is like the centre forward 'he's a great goalscorer, but'
There is not a keeper in the country who is good at all the criteria fans ask for.
No keeper comes and takes the ball like Pat Jennings did in the 60/70's. he was able to command the box then as the balls flew in a slower speed and didnt move, the defences/attacks less wised up how to block the keeper.Keepers in the past could pick the ball up and didnt need to be able to kick well. I recall Shilts being useless at kicking out from the ground and he didnt take the ball at crosses that well either.
I for 1 appreciate KD's loyalty and accept he is not great at all facets of keeping ,but he has saved us so many points over the seasons he has graced the side
Some might call it disrepect, i'd call it realism.

That's the most ****ing ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Dickson is twice the defender Harding is. I should point out that I've never seen him play and I'm not even that sure who he is but he was probably good in Football Manager. I also like the letter 'D' more than the letter 'H'.
Is anyone else worried AP will be snapped up by England if we don't win the world cup? I certainly am.
I am playing Football manager at the moment, i'm in 2017 and Dickson plays for MK Dons in league one and is valued at £12k so obviously ****. Interestingly he signed for Saints in 2011 on a free. I am a bit concearned that he has not played above League One standard on FM so cant be that good and surely only a stop gap. By comparison Dan Harding plays his whole career in the CCC and is still going strong now, in the CCC for Southend. I'm really worried that we have signed Dickson now :smt009

lambert now kelvin for england
we have some deluded fans
I wondered how long it would be before someone started going on about Davis for England. I'd also add to this Harding must be considered for left back berth now Bridge has retired from international football and i think Hammond could play the holding role with Lampard or Gerrard and from what i have seen Milner is no better than Llanna so maybe he could play down the left? If we signed a few more English players we could be the first club to provide all 11 starting players to the national team for Euro 2012. What an achievement that would be.

Cant believe I forgot facepaint!
and wigs. Although that would be the crazy ones...

He probably had a look on here and saw all the moaning. In any case, wasn't the plan always to try to get up in the first season and at least make the play offs and then in the second season when Wilde and co had got all this investment they promised add two or three extra players of quality to make sure we went up? Thats how i remember it anyway. I bet he didn't bank on having to sell his three best players and losing Lundekvam who was in decline anyway from that season and replace them with frees and loans.
