How easy do you think it's going to be to get someone any good to come here as a permanent signing as a back up? You'll either end up with someone not arsed at the end of their career, a Cuco Martina type or some kid who would be a gamble. In Williams we've got a decent premier league player who has made 50 games for Man United, played in Europe and can play both sides. With our limited budget it makes perfect sense to bring in someone like this for a year with a loan fee than spend £5m on a journeyman.

Tough one, great player but missed a quarter of our season last year and nearly a third of it in his first season. You wouldn’t think he’s going to fare any better with injuries as he gets older so it’s the balance of is it worth keeping him on a 4 year deal on big money knowing that realistically at best you’re going to get 3/4s of a season out of him. Personally I’d be inclined to cash in. 19/20 season was the best season he’s ever had, not got anywhere near that level the rest of his career. We highly likely won’t sign a player who will get 20 goals a season like Ings 19/20 return as there aren’t may about but if we can use the money to get one who gets 12-15 to play alongside Adams who should be getting double figures next season then that’s not a bad place to be

Pretty sure there were stories in the press that we wanted another striker anyway, assume if Ings leaves we'll be in the market for two.

He's missed 13 league games this season but only 4 and 5 in the seasons before that. He's be perfect alongside Salisu. If we get 30 games out of him then that's good and we've got Bednarek and Stephens who can deputise as 3 and 4th choice, which is where they should be. A good senior player at the back to organise and lead those around them is what we've be lacking since Fonte left.

It’s hard to imagine how it could be any better lined up for us. 2 games now at Wembley a very average Denmark team standing in our way of a final. We seem to be improving as the tournament progresses, have momentum, are hard to beat and got some real talent going forward and I guess most importantly the players seems to have a great team spirit and believe they can win it.
