Bloody governments, Big Pharma companies, scientists and their vaccines. Who do they think they are, coming round here trying to save my life? Bastards.

Bloody governments saving your life? The Tory government you mean, lead by Boris Johnson, the Tories and Boris Johnson saved your life 👏👏👏👏

What about the hospital workers that we applauded and you admitted that you only did it so you could speak to you neighbours.

    Such gratitude 🤣

    That's Badger's point. It's a claim.

Yes and we’ll never really know the truth I know Zuckerberg is up trumps arse now but would be a big call to make something like that up

Anybody can make a claim about anything, what helps is to provide supporting evidence.

You’ve got an interview from the owner of Facebook saying that the Biden administration told them to take down anything negative. What other supporting evidence do you need?

So to paraphrase, Saints are subsidising the French outfit. And probably the turks too.

It certainly appears that way, making the most of premier league money while they can to elevate the other clubs thus increasing the value of the overall portfolio. Too bad they got the first part of it wrong

  5. An interesting article but all credibility was blown when it said labour lied. Labour don’t lie they are lovely, honest people who are here for the best interests of everyone it’s only the self serving tory scum that lie.

Another example of this countries far right media and no surprises that an Islamaphobe like yourself would be championing the opinion piece of a far right journalist who follows Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson on twitter. trump would be proud of you falling for this.

McCarthy is ok, he’s no Ramsdale, but way  way better than Baz. He’s not the basket case some would have you believe.

Championship is his level he’s not and never has been a premier league keeper

  7. Zuckerberg obviously now balls deep in trump but First vaccines were approved here in December 2020 and started to be delivered to the masses mid January 2021 so although Covid started in the US under Trump vaccines would have be rolled out under Biden.

  8. Believe me I live about 15 miles away it is an absolute shit hole. One of the worst cities in the country.

Got a few mates from there and they hate it and have all moved out.

Given it's such a small amount I'm not overly fussed about it but I think it underlines yet again that load sof officials are distracted with their minds elsewhere instead of being 100% invested in improving our lot. I'd be more up for this sort of thing when we are comfortable mid table premier league side.

It’s a small amount by premier league standards but a decent amount by championship standards, what did we spend last time? Think it was about £18m or so on Charles and Stewart the rest of our signings were loans or frees, so potentially about 1/4 of our pot for next season. By French league 3 standards it’s a huge amount. All on an 18 year old kid where this level, probably the equivalent of national league or league 2, is the highest he’s ever played it. maybe he’s the new Desailly but somehow I think there more chance of him ending up in Turkey and never playing a game for us

We have to be one of the worst run clubs in any league! and yet sports republic claim they are self declared experts in the sporting investments field! 😂

they are, they've just pumped €5m into one of their clubs without spending a penny!

We don't breed success, we buy it at 4.5x it's value from our feeder club.

wonder if this kid will ever play for our first team? It really just sounds like a deal to enable the french club to invest in their squad to get promotion.

I hope to god we never get this at football, the try hard pricks chucking their pints in the air because we've scored an equaliser at home to Watford and drenching people in piss water beer would be a nightmare.

oh come on pal, imagine the bantz when someone makes one of those plastic glass towers like they do at the cricket, it'd be one of the maddest things you'd ever seen at soccerball.

Joachim is the 3rd biggest transfer for Valenciennes:

Kévin Cabral sold to LA Galaxy on 8 April 2021 for €5.4m

Steve Savidan was sold to Stade Malherbe de Caen on 1 July 2008 for €5m.

and Joachim in the last few days for €5m.

ah yes you're correct, i was looking at the wrong thing on transfer market, but still makes him a very large sale for you and for the French 3rd division and 4.5x his market value.

I have no doubt that the €5 million will be put to good use here, and it's a very handsome sum indeed.

I hope that both our clubs will enjoy better times in any case.

almost double your biggest ever transfer fee received and one of the top 3 of all time in the French 3rd tier. Should enable you to buy your way up to the 2nd division at least. Used properly should be able to buy a very good set of players for the 2nd division in French football.

  15. The recent "sale" of this French kid to us for €5m is good news for the SR Group. There is virtually no money in French football these days aside from the big clubs so £5m is a huge windwall for Valencieenes. Their biggest ever transfer fee received before this was €3m in 2012. This money would surely enable them to at least buy their way in the second tier, possibly even the top league. Transfer market values Sanda at €800k and the entire Vaelencieenes squad at only €7m with not a single player valued at over €1m.

Signing a player from the third tier of French football for a fee so large certainly seems a little unprecedented, whilst €5m is not much by premier league standards It's either the 2nd or 3rd biggest fee ever from a 3rd tier French club.

Certainly seems like Valencieenes are also going to benefit from premier league money while it last.

I think the problem is that Taylor has taken on a bit too much responsibility for the results and is trying to do a bit too much, meaning he's making mistakes and not trusting the others around him. Getting him into a back 4 or with a more comfortable team (preferably with much better protection from midfield) will do him good.

Yep, hes a young player in his first season in the premier league. He should be playing alongside a good, experienced centre back not stuck alongside crap like Stephens & Bednarek or expecting Wood who is also in his first season to just swim. We did this with Stephens expecting him and Yoshida to step up to replace Fonte and Van Dijk, why do we never learn?

If he went would clear the way for the return of Irelands No 2 and if there was ever a signing that summed up the SR era it’s Bazanu

I think most people agreed signing him and throwing him into the first team was madness. I know some loons pointed to the fact he'd played for Ireland a few times and one of them was against Portugal but anyone could see depending on a young keeper who'd never played above league one level was mental.
