  1. Arne Slot could be available soon 🙂
  2. Agree although today there were clear signs that Eckhert is aware of what has been going wrong and is taking the right steps to fix things. It was clear that we set up to get our wing backs much higher up the pitch as often as possible. If you're playing 3 centre backs this is essential and we did it far better today. We saw AA dropping deeper to receive the ball and hold it which he's good at and to compliment this players were looking to run past him into the space and through the channels. These subtle changes created the space and room to allow our better footballers to get on the ball and cause some havoc. It's a work in progress but there was much to admire and we seem at long last to be utilising our strengths and playing football that is easy on the eye. If Eckert is largely responsible for the improvement then he's earning his shot at the job but we need to see similar against both Leicester and Millwall because Charlton did play into our hands although maybe that was because we were too good on the day.
  3. For me the big difference was that our wing backs got higher up the pitch and so could influence the play. It's important they keep doing this because it is vital if playing 3 centre backs.
  4. Yes he was far more effective dropping deeper to receive the ball and it helped that we finally got our wing backs further forward. We had a far better shape about us today. Eckert is growing on me but I want to see how he does against Leicester.
  5. Only saw the second half which was ok but no more - probably because we'd done the damage and were saving a bit for Leicester. Have seen highlights of first half and some of the play and goals were top drawer. My take is that we played the usual 3 centre backs but we finally twigged that your wing backs must get high up the pitch as much as possible. If that's down to Eckert's coaching then I take my hat off to him because it freed up so much more space and made us very dangerous going forward. Let's see how we do against Leicester who we usually lose to - if he makes it 4 on the bounce I may start believing he has something. Mad Nate proved today how bonkers we were to appoint him so Rasmus needs to own that one. Bragg looked neat and tidy and we still have Oriel to come once he is up to speed.
  6. Nobody hates him.
  7. What happens to Eckert if he doesn't get the job? Does he return to the U21s who have just appointed Lallana as interim coach or does he leave the club? It's a total mess but nothing we are not used to under the clowns parading as SR.
  8. A distinct possibility.
  9. We'll find out a lot more in the next 3 games which are all tough fixtures. I'm not expecting much to be honest.
  10. Not quite the whole break - as usual the poor little waifs were rewarded for sub standard performances by lots more days off - I guess they don't need to practice or work on drills and partnerships.
  11. Aren't Verl a German 3rd division side who are not even in the top few of their division? He'll fit right in and, if there is any truth in it, this will be another inspirational appointment by SR.
  12. He was never the brains behind Brentford's rise.
  13. Yeah, the old 'toe the party line' and say something while really saying nothing is quite refreshing if you like that sort of drivel.
  14. Half fit he'd be more use than most of the rest of the clowns.
  15. Which leads me to believe the team in first place have it right and the rest have it wrong. Simples.
  16. Lots of good points regarding our problems but you overlooked the main fly in the ointment - our owners SR are totally clueless.
  17. Please no, a thousand times no.
  18. I'm hoping this is a joke. If there is one sure way to lose the majority of the fan base it's to appoint this guy.
  19. He wont be. Bench at a guess.
  20. They missed off the number one thing which would be them getting out of our club.
  21. They've been hopeless from day one.
  22. So basically you're saying SR screwed the whole thing up for Tyler and us. Sounds about right for those shysters.
  23. He's got the Leicester game whatever the result on Saturday - no point changing for a game that's only 3 days away. You don't give a new manager a couple of days to prepare for a tough fixture like Leicester at home and they usually beat us as well.
  24. Tondra has clearly been told he is in charge for the next 3 games. He's got the Charlton game then Leicester is only 3 days later so no point changing then it's another 4 days until Millwall. They are 3 tough fixtures so I can't see us getting much. If that's the case SR will face more supporter unrest of their own making. They should have had an appointment lined up but have allowed the situation to drift which leaves fans believing they are hoping Tondra gets some decent results so they can get the cheap option as usual. They never seem to learn.
