  1. Gonna have to spend very wisely once the purse string are finally loosened. Lots to put right and improve upon.
  2. Probably safe to say that, as usual, we will not come flying out the blocks this season. Why are we so incapable of getting a team prepared for a new season.
  3. It's a strange one for sure.
  4. Not watching but comments indicate there is not much to shout about so far. Too many of the old and failed guard still getting starts so no surprise it's poor entertainment.
  5. Is anyone surprised?
  6. Be interested to learn if he broke sweat.
  7. I know what I see with my own eyes.
  8. Another manager who fails to see the flaws in Captain Jack despite the howlers he's made so far in our friendlies. It really is quite staggering that he continues to pull the wool over their eyes. You'd think one of them would recognise how poor he is but here we are with him as first choice again.
  9. And every season we start slowly - just saying.
  10. Wow, which genius came up with this piece of 'breaking news?'
  11. He'll be going nowhere yet then.
  12. You're forgetting Stephens at CB.
  13. Don't SR own the club?
  14. Don't like the look of your proposed line up at all. Continuing last season's lack of height and strength with Archer, Fraser, Smallbone and Armstrong. Rather see Downs or Stewart up front. We will of course be bringing in new players so need to make some moves quickly to try to give them some training with the group so they can be in the side for the first game.
  15. Of course but you're admitting Dibling has a big flaw in his make-up in that he doesn't battle when the going is tough. Not a good trait.
  16. I agree. Dibling was very comfortable with Russell Martin as his boss. Moyes is an entirely different proposition and is a fiery Jock who wont hold back on any player not performing. Not sure Tyler is ready to play under that kind of manager.
  17. Didn't affect Fernandes who knuckled down and gave his all every minute he played.
  18. An agent with the player's best interests at heart (I get that they are generally in it for themselves). A decent agent would realise that Dibling isn't ready for a move right now and would be better off signing (or re-negotiating) the contract on the table and having a season with us where he'll play regularly rather than warming the bench of a mid table Premier League side. He's 19 and has already tasted life at Chelsea which he very soon discovered didn't suit him - ok, he was younger then but he doesn't come across as someone who thrives outside his own particular comfort zone.
  19. Agree. It's very hard to quantify what Dibling is worth because you're mainly splashing out on potential rather than something more tangible. Clubs will be wary of spending too big on what would be a bit of a gamble. I think we'll do well to get £35m for him at his current stage of development. Another season with us would be more sensible for the lad in my view but that's for him to decide.
  20. Surely we're not stupid enough to have only one target.
  21. Nobody is paying £50m+ for Fernandes.
  22. Yeah, it's been reported previously.
  23. Does everyone on here expect that? You, presumably, are the only exception.
