So basically wasting everyone's time until we decide whether to make a sensible offer.
-
I'm sure the club have known Dibling will likely be leaving for more than a week.
-
Obviously no idea how true this is but, if true rings the usual alarm bells. Are we going to play hardball with the likes of Everton over Dibling and, at the same time, make derisory offers for potential decent signings like Rudoni? If so it only end one way.
-
Deal would probably fall through because we'd ask for too much money.
-
This has rumbled on for a while now so, if a deal is close, I hope we have some decent alternatives lined up already.
-
Fans keep making this 'excuse' for Tyler yet Fernandes showed no such drop in form or tendency to go missing. I get that they are two different characters but I don't buy the excuse for Dibling so perhaps his inclination is to slack off when the going gets tough.
-
The famous midget forward line - that'll work.
-
This is news how?
-
If Everton get Grealish I can't see them wanting Dibling as well. If so not sure who else is interested in Tyler at the fee we're asking so he may end up with no choice but to stay.

No way is any Championship club going to stump up £20m for Fellows.
-
Nice interview, thanks for sharing.
-
How can anyone possibly know the ceiling of Tom Fellows - he's just turned 22.
-
That's what I was told so why isn't he training with his team mates ahead of our first game of the season? Surely that's what a 'good lad' would want to do.

This post is spot on and underlines why we'll never progress under SR. If you want to build a team that has a chance to survive in the Premier League you have to be prepared to not cash in on your best assets the minute the big clubs come calling. Otherwise it's continually one step forward two steps back and stagnation sets in. I'm not suggesting it's easy to buck the trend but this is pretty much the only way to give yourself a half decent chance of getting a foothold in the PL. Get your star players on good contracts, pay them good money and make it clear that they leave when we decide. Everything else is pissing in the wind.

Agree, he's a tricky player who can go past opponents with ease. Can play on either wing and is predominantly left footed but has a decent right foot. Didn't realise he's 6' tall so a good size. Having recently turned 22 he's only going to get better. Would be a sensible replacement for Dibling but I'm sure West Brom will fight to keep him and will not want to sell him to a rival team.
-
We're not in the PL any more...as far as I can recall 🙂
-
He's without a club so is available. He'll be 34 in September and always seemed to keep himself in great shape when playing for us. I could see him anchoring our midfield and using his experience and guile to make up for the loss of a bit of pace - he was never the quickest anyway so didn't rely on speed. If he was at Staplewood added to the fact that he pitched up at our training camp in Spain this might be something to keep an eye on.
-
Footballers are generally used to moving around and if Romeu does come it would likely only be for a season so he could easily rent a place here and keep his gaff in Spain. Potentially great for us if he's still got something left in the tank but probably won't happen.
-
Rangers have signed some decent players particularly Antman and Gassama. These two would have been easily affordable for us and are proof that you don't have to wait until the final week of the transfer window to make good deals - ok, they may have been attracted to Rangers by the draw of European football but I'm fairly sure they are not the only two players of this level who could have been signed before the hectic transfer dealing starts.
-
Rangers looking very good tonight so fair play to Russell Martin. Has the penny finally dropped? At last he's playing people in their correct positions so no square pegs in round holes and there's been zero suicidal playing out from the back particularly at goal kicks. He has always maintained he'll never compromise - well, tonight he has and Rangers look so much better for it. Question is, does he revert to type as he has at other clubs in the past.
-
Agree, perhaps the lad will get stuck into the new season and give it everything he's got if he's still with us. Two sides to every coin and I'm not trying to disrespect Tyler because I'm sure he'll deal with any potential disappointment in his own way.
-
You miss my point - I have no issue with him leaving and will wish him well. However, if he doesn't get a transfer and feels the club has stood in his way I think we might have problems with him this season.
-
Sorry, don't understand this comment, it seems contradictory.
-
If he stays we'll see if it is nonsense.
