No one laughed at us when Lawrie was manager. I,like many others on here had some amazing times following SFC back in the day. Everyones entitled to an opinion,but some of the disrespectful garbage I,ve read about Lawrie makes me feel sick. Can you imagine posting stuff like that about Bobby Robson on an Ipswich board? Or Johhny Lyle at West Ham? Maybe I just imagined all the good hidings we gave top sides,or the top names that sprayed the ball around with such class.Some REAL characters who some old manager persuaded to play for little old Saints. Next time he's on the radio,I will listen,as I always do when there is someone who cares about Saints and their fans.(Cue sarcastic response from cyber geeks?)

Always found them spot on. They always seem good natured and helpful,even when I'm in a foul mood. This was frequent last season!

Perhaps we should go back to this thread when we've just lost a midweek game at Bristol Rovers due to a big lump British centre forward getting on the end of a deep cross. I agree we shouldnt be blinkered in our thinking but what's the old English saying..horses for courses? I know Martinez did well in div1 but last season that promotion was won by Pearson,Ferguson and Atkins with very few foreign players.NO MORE EXPERIMENTS PLEASE.

Spot on mate,I thought it looked good and could be a big seller. Yellow away kit would be well received too.

Mark Dennis was speaking about this very thing on Talksport earlier. He said "set pieces are key in League 1,along with a big and busy centre forward". We need to do much better on set pieces at both ends of the pitch. It has been that way for a long time.
