  1. think that was an over reaction maybe by people who didn't see the actual quote but used it for their anti-pardew agenda
  2. 40,000 for us I have heard
  3. they loved it, players loved it, crowd loved it. Heard lad in papershop today, buying echo - must have been about 10 and excitedly pointing to pictures in the echo saying "I was there". My uncle who worked abroad all his life until he retired is going to Wembley for the first time. Mickey Mouse cup??? I guarantee Cortesse and Markus can't wait!
  4. hospitality sold out while ago
  5. fair comment

    FAO David Luker

should we suggest that we have all of the tickets?
  7. I have written to the club to ask why these two, overenthusiastic fans were allowed to stand, unchallenged for more than the last 5 minutes of the game, clapping and encouraging the players and crowd. This is not the sort of behaviour we should accept, particularly in an irrelevant mickey mouse cup that meant nothing to them.
  8. If he didn't know how important cup games can be, he certainly is now
  9. Think the told you so merchants need to get a grip. Read the actually comment from Cortesse and see his reaction last night
  10. just read text again and that;s what it said
  11. not seen it but had text from someone watching sky sports news and they are saying adjourned for 28 days??
  12. The Markus song was not very loud where he sits - I am bit nearer Northam and not loud for me
  13. very cleary. I sit near to directors box and it was loud, clear and lasted a while!
  14. no, but was good to see - Cortesse was standing looking around the crowd, smiling and applauding for about 5 or more minutes. They remained there long after the final whistle, applauding the team off. Think it did mean something to him!
  15. Great to see them both standing for the last 5 minutes of the game, (although where were the stewards?!). Cortesse applauding for 5 minutes, watching team and looking around at the fans singing we're going to Wembley.
  16. IMHO a more likely explanation of it than get 48 points and you lose your job.
  17. think you are reading far too much into a two line response to a question, maybe have a read of it again? You have read from those two lines that if we don't get 45 points from next 18 games Pardew will be sacked?
  18. I think 2 points is the grey area. Noticeably more than that he will be happy, and vice versa.
  19. my guess, Cortesse of course wants play offs aimed for them around 2 points per game is enough for automatic promotion from October to now we have done that. if we achieve 2 points per game for the rest of the season Cortesse will be optomistic that this will continue next and gain automatic promotion next season. if we drop below that he will need convincing as to how Pardew will improve next season

    BBC 1 now

he is with Pardew every day. probably sees Cortesse fairly frequently. unlike people on here he will not base his view on the over analysis of two sentences from Cortesse but what he says day to day. He will also pick up on how players and manager are feeling Pardew spoke of him being a good link between manager and players If he feels that it is not a heavy comment and takes pressure off the cup games then I accept his view. If deciding who is thick, between a player articulating on tv something he knows about in detail, or someone who has read a two line comment and uses that to say he knows best what is in the mind of that player and others - I know which one is sounding thick!
  21. doubt it, just when its agreed
  22. MK Dons are missing their top scorer, and both CBs
  23. Mark Chamberlain son isn't he
  24. I don't like fergie
