  1. sorry to quote myself, but as this gets lost on the previous page any thoughts?
  2. If we assume that they are trading whilst insolvent they, very quickly need either 1) a new owner to buy them, put money in to make them solvent, 2)or go into administration and be saved. for 1) If they offer the club for £1 as you sometimes hear, someone is going to have to put a lot of money in just to sort debts and is likely to get a CCC team needing investment - is this at all attractive? for 2) they will then be certain of relegation, but you would be able to get a CCC club relatively cheaply. Although they would need investment, could this be reasonably attractive investment?
  3. if you are an optimist you shouldn't be worrying about where your support will take you, this time tomorrow you will be saved by a billionaire!
  4. think we are a bit lower than that but thanks. Where do you think you will level out without a sugar daddy? Mid League 1?

    Trouble?

I saw the Britannia Road incident. It was not that bad. Most of people stood at the garage were quite relaxed, children, women etc wondering what was going on. Even those at the front shaking the barriers looked to me that they were inappropriately mucking around - laughing rather than angry trying to get at other fans. I don't think for a minute they thought they would get together. Not sure what happened prior to horses approaching but some of the hard teenagers panicked and jumped on cars. There were things thrown, bits of card etc - expect few coins as well.
  6. is it too late for a takeover - didn't they need to include new investment in their statement? Appreciate they could still be taken over if court do not wind them up on 1st March.
  7. nothing to add but thought 5 posts in a row may look a bit OTT!
  8. Can't see it myself but was also in yesterday's Sun, mentioned on Radio5, and other papers and websites. - Even the Skates paper! One thing that may change the FA's thinking is the comments in court about how they are trading. If this is backed up in their paperwork today then the FA may be more sympathetic to us
  9. He's no Fergie or Wenger but he was a top signing for us -where we are. Did you hear WHU fan on 606 at weekend ranting that he couldn't believe they got rid of him and would take him back immediately. I am sure most would have jumped at the chance of top manager like WGS and he is doing pretty badly. Funny old game!
  10. so I guess, if the accounts have to be lodged today, with all projections of investment - time has run out to find investor?
  11. if you want to sit with someone elsewhere you can leave your season ticket with ticket office, swap for another seat next to your mate, and they sell your seat for that game
  12. no, they really wanted automatic. Didn't mean it was going to happen!
  13. good work rate, great pace, fun to watch - would like to see him next season -unless we are getting someone better!
  14. administration tomorrow, liquidation monday, don't mind really.
  15. says skate with 800 posts on saints forum! So where do you think your natural level is, without Mandaric or Sasha, just your fans - mid league 1?
  16. This level of support would put them around the 50th best supported club, so league 1 level. I can see them settling around that sort of level.
  17. Without the sugar daddy effect, based on support, where do you think skates would settle in English football? Curently they are the 32nd best supported team in England. This is despite them being in premiership. With an average of 18,600. source - http://www.mikeavery.co.uk/Attendance%20All%20Teams%20High%20to%20Low.htm In CCC, or equivalent they were often getting average crowds of around 8,000 to 10,000. Would this be what they get next year in CCC? source - http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/porm.htm
  18. never mind eh?
  19. 1981/82 skates average for blue few 8,500 1994/95 blue few average 8,200 1997/98 blue few average 11,000 2009/10 blue few average 18,600 How many of those were in blue square? They would get about 2,000 to 4,000 max
  20. that's optimistic for the CCC considering your support last decline and now this season.
  21. can't quite make out plan on this small screen - any obvious best place?
  22. or much shorter for some?
  23. what ever happened to um, gone or new user name?
