Ahahaha
I think he's staying.
The newspapers just can't comprehend that a League One club might be able to keep hold of a player, that a player might want to stay here despite all the media pressure, they're used to creating their own transfer stories by getting players to move through media pressure.
'They've turned away so many clubs, but they're a tiny league one club so he must be leaving, so let's link him with the next one that shows an interest.'
Fulham are favourites to sign him now? I'm a heck of a lot more confident of keeping hold of him if that's true, I believe we're destined to be above Fulham in the next few seasons and the ethos at the club at the moment shows the players believe that too.

So how likely is it that Pompey get wound up? Surely if they keep putting CVA payment dates back then someone with want to liquidate them.
They're not in administration any more, so normal rules apply. Anyone they owe more than £750 to, that they then miss a repayment to, can issue a winding up order. The CVA repayment terms are to put it bluntly, terrible for the creditors. Pompey don't have to repay anything until 2012 now to creditors in the CVA if the reports linked to here are to be believed.
They still have to meet day to day running costs though, if they miss any of those, I doubt they'll be allowed to go into administration again, it'll be liquidation straight away.

Another shout for Benali here.

Swiss Bank leaks... Oooh I hope so.
Maybe buried down in the middle will be that well known name in these parts - Falcondrome, and we can see who REALLY was behind the Skate non-takeover....
I thought that I have to admit... 'I bet Pompey are involved in this somehow...'

He's not the worst ref we've ever had but you couldn't say his performance was good today.
-
Sad life? Your fans were quick enough to intrude our website after your 6 nil win giving it large! Three points behind Brighton we will be top come end of saturday! Brighton are in meltdown now and really worried about us! Must say after our teams performance today they are totally worried about you!
I still don't see what relevance all that has to a Man Utd supporter?
-
We missed Lallana today, and on a luckier day would have still had enough to win, but a draw isn't the end of the world, especially with such a bad Ref.
-
Totally embarrassed after our win!
But Man Utd didn't play today...
You should remember your lies a bit better.
Anyway, we all know the reason you're so eager to pipe up now is because you think we will catch you. And we will.

Love the sash, love the stripes. So which to go for???
I think the thing that may tip it for me is: a neutral mate of mine having come to a couple of home games with me thought the sash kit looked really good but also thought it made the team look much bigger than the opposition (hence possibly giving us a bit of Psychological advantage), I think this is probably because the kit has a rugby feel about it. Well I am an egg chaser as well so it has to be the sash......oh shhhiiitttte but can we go away from the stipes...fffuuuccck I don't know.
Can we have stripes with a sash across them??

He's NOT for sale according to us.
If we manage to keep hold of the hottest transfer target in England then that is a huge statement of the strength we have behind the scenes now.
-
Excellent.
A chance to put clear water between us and the playoffs tomorrow now.
-
This makes me think we miiight just have a chance of keeping hold of him.
-
To be fair, we have songs for more players than any other club I can think of.
Our heroes get sung pretty well ^^

So Brundle replaces Legard in the lead commentator's role, and Coulthard takes Brundle's old spot.
Also confirmed that F1 will be broadcast in HD this year
-
Can anyone confirm what channel the game will be on please?
It'll be on ITV according to the FA website.

Saw somewhere (sorry can't rememeber where) it was in the 1950's
No idea if it's correct or not.

Lowe isn't anything to do with Saints anymore... This thread is pointless/sarcastic... I could go on...

I suspect the home grown European rule is in their thinking
The home grown rule only applies to players over the age of 21, and by training at Liverpool for three years before he's 21, he'll count as home grown.
(It's because of this I think that Owen Hargreaves doesn't count as home grown)
Nationality doesn't come into it to get around EU employment laws.
-
I love the sash kit, but I think a big part of that is the fact there's no sponsor on there.
I don't know if it'd have the same impact with one.
-
Haha!
Maybe Holloway shouldn't have had a cheap shot at us if he wanted to buy one of our players.
-
I think you're absolutely mad.
I also think this is bound to catch on and work
-
Excellent win against a difficult team away from home.
Best thing about tonight is overtaking Brighton's goal difference, our goal difference is now the best in the league and Brighton WILL be looking over their shoulders now.
We could be top by the end of Saturday.
AOC Transfer Speculation Thread
in The Saints
Posted
Of course they do. Transfers sell newspapers, and speculation about transfers can turn both players' and teams' heads. It's no different to what an agent does to get commission.
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2266521,00.html
There's this article which basically says ignore what the papers are saying. They're never going to issue an outright denial because it's never absolutely certain, look at Eddie Howe for example, but I think we can take from that that The OC is not 'for sale' as such.
I'm not sure what more people want?
