  1. Personally, I think the game should have gone ahead, with the players going out there with a "do it for Markus" attitude. "The show must go on", as they say. No issue with it being called off, mind you, can fully understand the decision. Also, from an entirely selfish point of view, it means I'll actually be able to go to the rearranged game.
  2. The "admin" username isn't used by any of the administrators - it's just the default one that is set up when the forum gets installed. Drop me a PM and I'll get it sorted.

  4. Right, having a few issues this evening with the heavy traffic for obvious reasons. As a result, as a temporary measure, I have disabled a number of features, most of which shouldn't affect your use of the forum anyway. I have also hidden all the other forums apart from this one - you will still be able to access the others if you've already got the URL saved, but I'd rather if you stayed off them for the time being. These changes appear to have improved things substantially, so they'll remain in place until at least 10pm this evening. I'd appreciate a bit of patience with this, I'm entirely on my own with the technical side of things at the moment as Baj is on holiday, so I'm trying to do the work of two people at the moment.
  5. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/irony Although come to think of it, that's probably wrong, because I did expect you to come out with a load of guff that didn't actually address any of the points made. What's that got to do with anything? If you're going to point out "inaccuracies", you could at least get them right yourself. Club photographers are employees of the club, so it stands to reason that they would have access
  6. I'll tell you what IS ironic... that you continually bleat on about the Echo failing to do research and then when trying to prove a point, you fail to do even the most basic of research. You ->

    My thoughts entirely...
  8. Well spotted. Cheers, I'll get that fixed asap.
  9. Fergie will be forced to talk to the BBC from the end of August (although I was always under the impression it was a contractual obligation anyway) - failure to comply will result in ever-increasing fines, apparently.
  10. No, you are free to read what I say if you want to and make your own informed decision.
  11. Personally I don't think there will be enough people who are that bothered about the Sun (and other papers as well - are you going to hypothetically boycott the Telegraph and Guardian, even though you may not even buy them? They've negatively covered the story as well, after all) and its coverage of the photography situation to boycott the paper if they do buy it regularly.
  12. This.
  13. Didn't go down at half-time either, but wanted a pre-match pie and they didn't have any
  14. Can you email me at subscriptions@saintsweb.co.uk ?
  15. You've also left off the Premier League teams who aren't in Europe, who join the competition in round 2
  16. Assuming tonight's three ties go the way of the favourites, the list of seeded teams who we could play is: Everton Birmingham Blackburn Stoke Fulham Sunderland Bolton Wolves Wigan West Ham Burnley Hull Portsmouth Newcastle West Brom Cardiff Leicester Blackpool Swansea Sheffield United Reading Middlesbrough Ipswich Watford If Cardiff, Sheffield United or Reading go out tonight, Preston, Scúnthorpe and Crystal Palace (in that order) stand by to move into the pot of seeded teams. I'd probably take anyone at home or a London/surrounding area away game or Wigan away as it would be a new ground for me.
  17. Yes.
  18. As it seems the user has no problem making his former employer known to the forum, I will assume he/she has no problem with me confirming it.
  19. Spot on.
  20. The short answer is "no, we can't". The subject line on the thread is usually a pretty good indicator of its content - if you don't like the look of it, just don't click on it.
  21. Why would Genoa buy him only to loan him to AC Milan?
  22. Surely not a straight swap?!
  23. On what grounds?
  24. So now Rob Lloyd is back on the scene again http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/aug/08/rob-lloyd-balram-chainrai-portsmouth This quote from that article particularly amused me: Shock horror, players who have signed a contract to receive a given amount of money actually want to stick to that contract
  25. As far as I'm aware, Plymouth's club photographer was allowed in on the condition that the photos were only used on Plymouth's OS. That clearly worked well, as a couple of those photos appeared in the papers.
