  1. Assuming tonight's three ties go the way of the favourites, the list of seeded teams who we could play is: Everton Birmingham Blackburn Stoke Fulham Sunderland Bolton Wolves Wigan West Ham Burnley Hull Portsmouth Newcastle West Brom Cardiff Leicester Blackpool Swansea Sheffield United Reading Middlesbrough Ipswich Watford If Cardiff, Sheffield United or Reading go out tonight, Preston, Scúnthorpe and Crystal Palace (in that order) stand by to move into the pot of seeded teams. I'd probably take anyone at home or a London/surrounding area away game or Wigan away as it would be a new ground for me.
  2. Yes.
  3. As it seems the user has no problem making his former employer known to the forum, I will assume he/she has no problem with me confirming it.
  4. Spot on.
  5. The short answer is "no, we can't". The subject line on the thread is usually a pretty good indicator of its content - if you don't like the look of it, just don't click on it.
  6. Why would Genoa buy him only to loan him to AC Milan?
  7. Surely not a straight swap?!
  8. On what grounds?
  9. So now Rob Lloyd is back on the scene again http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/aug/08/rob-lloyd-balram-chainrai-portsmouth This quote from that article particularly amused me: Shock horror, players who have signed a contract to receive a given amount of money actually want to stick to that contract
  10. As far as I'm aware, Plymouth's club photographer was allowed in on the condition that the photos were only used on Plymouth's OS. That clearly worked well, as a couple of those photos appeared in the papers.
  11. Not that I'm aware of. It's not quite ready yet, watch this space
  12. No, the forum now has a Facebook integration feature, so we can add "like" buttons to threads, news articles, blog posts, etc. Needs testing first though.
  13. Watch this space on that particular feature
  14. Answer the post. By logic, I can only deduce that, as you consider my confirming of reports I've heard from trusted sources as "trolling and lying", and you've dressed your post up to be the same, you're just bull****ting. There's a surprise.
  15. Bristol Rovers tried it a few years ago, although they did still let in the local paper's photographer. No idea how long that lasted, but it's certainly not in place anymore.
  16. It's not the same in any way, shape or form. Photographers cannot sit in that area of the ground, but they are free to sit anywhere else around the pitch. That means they still have a view of the entire pitch, and they are in the ground. They're not being told they're not allowed into the ground even though they have the required accreditation, they're not being told that if they want images they'll have to apply to the club and receive a set of pre-screened images that the club have edited and deemed appropriate for them to distribute.
  17. Depends what time you're travelling and on what day. If you travel at peak time, i.e. before 10am on a weekday, it'll be about £60 return. Off-peak, it can be as little as £20 return with a network railcard or group saver.
  18. Let's see it then. You and others demanded that people revealed their sources for making statements like that, so now the boot's on the other foot. Practice what you preach.
  19. Your "quick Google" must have been incredibly quick, as you obviously didn't read any of the linked articles. Here's one: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1221168/Emmanuel-Adebayor-celebration-leads-Manchester-City-ban--photographers.html The photographers who got the Adebayor celebration shots were banned from positioning themselves in front of the away section, not the ground, and not forced to pay the club for a pre-screened selection of images.
  20. Well I've got the following quote from that article to go on: I would take that as a statement that they won't be paying SFC for photos. The football clubs that he expects to do business with to buy/sell players? That would really be a wise move.
  21. Except on Saturday when the Plymouth Herald will be providing exactly £0 to SFC. Local papers simply don't have the budget to pay extra for photos not taken by their own photographers, so the club will receive the square root of **** all from local newspapers. Expect many of the clubs themselves might take issue with it as well, and impose reciprocal charges specifically for our photographers.
  22. For the second time in 24 hours, words genuinely fail me.
  23. Good.
