i,ve got no problems with devolution but i don,t fill like a victim like you seem to, and has for pr.i just want a system based on how real people vote. there are tory voters in some parts of the north who in council elections who get 30% of the vote and no seats so why bother voting,is that fair. i don,t care if the tories get in or not ,they are no different to new labour. i just want a system people feel their vote matters whatever party they vote for.
-
thats rubbish you need a landslide for decisive action having a small majority ,you need to reach out to other party's to get your legislation threw, because you always find people within your own party who try to push their luck with a different agenda.
-
every persons vote should be representative ,get your mindset around that. its got nothing to do with your paranoid dreaming. i did not hear you moan in 1983 when a majority of the country voted against the tories when it gave them a landslide. your just a follower of a party who wantsno change ever. thank god cameron wants shot of dinosaurs in the party

apparently its got lots of security holes that's why i went to firefox and stayed with.

i agree first pass the post is a rubbish system. i remember the 1983 election when tory-397 seats labour-209 lib sdp-23seats Popular vote tory-13,012,316 labour-8,456,934 lib sdp-7,780,949 Percentage 42.4% 27.6% 25.4% the third party had has many votes nearly has labour but only got 23 seats. the opposition parts had more votes put together then the torys but could not outvote them. and they wonder why people don,t bother voting . every vote should count and be representative.
-
i agree but on the first day no one seemed to know what was happening and were not getting answers from the staff ,thats why saintsfc put up apology on how matters were handled on their website.

i,ve got no agenda,i made a mistake on 5 % vat a and new labour are just another consertive party and don,t rate blair and brown and don,t rate maggie and all her overblown hype or any government who have run this country since the 1960,s, the real giants were churchill and attlie who achieved great things . vat increases hurts low income rather more rather than a 10p gimmick. i expect after the next election vat will rise to 20 or 21 % the only person rate about economics is vince cable and he does not belong to the main party's.
-
are you a rightie and what is a leftie ? -when Margaret Thatcher arrived in Downing Street in May 1979 the rate of VAT stood at 8%. Within a month Geoffrey Howe, in his first Budget as her Chancellor, had raised the bar by almost double to 15% and thus prompted a massive shift in the tax system from what we earn to what we spend. So began the Tory love affair with VAT. Value Added Tax was introduced by Ted Heath’s Conservative government in 1973 as part of the conditions for Britain’s entry to the European Economic Community and the initial rate was set at 8% (with a 12.5% rate for certain luxury goods). During the 1979 Election the Tories repeatedly denied that they had any plans to double the rate of VAT, hiding behind the pedantry that a rise from 8% to 15% wasn’t quite double the rate they inherited. No matter, twelve years on Norman Lamont completed the job by raising the tax to 17.5%, the rate it stands at today. The 1991 hike was supposed to be a temporary measure to cover the cost of the switch from the failed Community Charge (Poll Tax to you and I) to the only slightly less unfair Council Tax. Unsurprisingly the Major government never reversed the rise. The Tories love VAT because it is a tax on spending, it is easy to collect and enables rates of Income Tax on the highest earners to be reduced. Taxes such as VAT always have the biggest impact on the poorest in society because naturally a larger proportion of their income is spent on day-to-day items. The net effect is that the lower your income, the larger the percentage of it that goes to the Treasury. you love her good luck to you buts shes gone kicked out by her own party.

has i said earlier post she was a devise figure ,you had small group of people who did very well out of her and a lot of people who had it hard despite us having north sea oil to pay for mass unemployment and house repossessions because of her party s mismanagement of the economy in her early years.
-
thats because she was so great,ha ha,let the guy dream, its know skin of my nose. i,ve forgotten about the mass unemployment and polltax ,riots, sky high interest rates, greed is good and no such thing has society rubbish, vat going up from 5 to 17.5 % and the falkands war which saved her bacon. shes just like wilson in the 1960,s who was the suppose to be a great leader. she will only be remembered for being the first women prime minister of this country and a divisive figure .
-
i,m not a socialist and if you want to kiss maggies ass thats up to you blair won 3 elections and was the longest premier in history ,so what , history has already forgotten about them. they don,t compare to churchill or attlie for acheivements such has fighting facism and nhs.
