( Maximilien Robespierre ).
Robespierre would have been quite a fan of DOGE . (Department of guillotine executions.)

Trump's nominee for Head of the IRS is not an accountant, has no experience of administration of tax, and no experience of running a large organisation, ( the IRS has over 80 thousand employees and a budget of several billion dollars ). He is, however, an auctioneer and former estate agent, who is also a part time professional poker player. On 3 occasions he has supported a Bill to abolish the IRS and replace it, and the entire tax structure, with an across the board 30% sales tax, ( an idea originally proposed by the Church of Scientology ). He is also alleged to have actively promoted making "dodgy" claims for COVID tax credits as a way of getting tax back from the IRS.
Trump's new nominee for Attorney-General, after the last one was rejected by the Senate, is a former AG for the state of Florida. Back in 2013 she was invited to join her state in investigations supporting a multi-state class action fraud case against Trump University. Purely coincidentally, she received a personal donation to her re-election campaign of 25 thousand dollars in the form of a cheque signed by DT. Within a couple of days she decided that Florida would not join the complaint. ( For clarity, Trump also donated to Kamala Harris, AG for California at the time, and she also declined to investigate further ).
Any info on Tulsi Gabbard?

From next month Eurosport UK is closing and it's schedule merged with TNT. This means that people who want to watch live cycling, including the TdF after this year as ITV will no longer have the rights, will have to take up a TNT or Discovery+ Premium subscription. These generally come in at around £32 per month, as compared to £7 pm for Eurosport.
Viewers in mainland Europe are not affected.
For the tdf you could try watching France TV with a vpn

Easy, far stricter gun laws so less chance of a being gunned down by a MAGA nutcase, much lower crime rates in the main, far lower cost of living (Toronto 44% less than NYC), miles better healthcare system for much less cost, public education system similarly streets ahead. Consequently, more socially inclusive overall, a consequence of better educational attainment.
The only advantages to the US are slightly lower taxes (but you gain so much more quality of life in Canada, unless you are hardcore MAGA/GOP) and the weather. Both have great natural scenery so score draw there.

The Supreme Court has ruled against Donald Trump, saying he does not have Presidential immunity in the hush money case.
Could you elaborate. Can't find any report for such a decision.

Abbas playing test cricket today vs SA.
You'd have thought that if Hants wanted him and Abbott for next season they would have signed them by now.

As Biden clearly explained in his document announcing the pardon both of the charges that Hunter was convicted would never — ever — have gone to trial if he wasn’t a Biden. It would not have happened. People who wrongly answer a question on their firearms form don’t go trial, and they don’t get convicted. People who have already paid their back taxes — plus interest and penalties — don’t go to criminal court afterward. Hunter Biden was a victim of a Republican witch hunt. Bravo Joe for pardoning him, and f*ck you Trump, who has already promised retribution against his enemies, for whining about it.
And as for the pearl clutching by Trump and the rest of his f*cking Republican hypocrites, they conveniently ignore that during his first term in office, that 34 times convicted felon Trump granted 144 pardons. Those included a family member and some of his closest allies who committed crimes ranging from financial fraud to witness tampering and more.
Some notable names of crooks who received Trump pardons are Charles Kushner (father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, who was convicted of preparing false tax returns, retaliating against a cooperating witness, making false statements to the Federal Election Commission in 2005, accused of hatching a plan for revenge and intimidation by hiring a prostitute with a hidden camera, with the recording to be sent to the man's wife who was Kushner's sister — after his pardon for all that shit he was selected by Trump to serve as U.S. ambassador to France); former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon (who defrauded hundreds of thousands of donors in a “We Build the Wall" crowdfunding scam); former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort (sentenced to more than seven years in prison for financial, witness tampering and lobbying crimes), amongst many others.
In addition Trump long ago promised if re-elected to pardon the rioters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and former Trump White House advisor Peter Navarro, who served a four-month sentence for contempt of Congress.
Explain why the pardon concerns crimes dating from 2014 especially as most crimes have a statute of limitations of 5 years.

Amazingly we won in super over
With 4 overs to go and 6 wickets in hand Rangpur needed 17 runs to win (more than 99% chance of winning).
After a poor summer the fighting spirit has returned.

Obviously missing both our opening batsmen and Turner from a team which underperformed in the Blast, so not great on paper. The TBC players will be interesting, I wonder if they’re being looked at as potential permanent additions next year.
