All my life England have never matched up to their supposed potential. This time its Southgate mismanaging Foden, Grealish, Kane and once again sticking with Sterling at all costs. Just know we'll need to win that last game and crumble mentally under the pressure.
-
England playing like a bunch of strangers again. As usual.
-
One thing is certain, Sterling will see out the full 90. Southgate loves him.
-
Incredible that they want to play on. Surely they won't be in a fit state of mind.
-
Just in shock here. Thinking of his family and friends. Praying he somehow pulls through.
-
I agree a defender for a defender. But can't help but feel JWP should have a place somewhere in that squad. Very hard done by and he'll be feeling gutted today. Just hope that feeling doesn't unsettle him into thinking his future lies elsewhere.
-
If Southgate had any sense he'd already have picked JWP given the fitness issues surrounding those other two. So he's unlikely to see the point now.
-
We lost a defender so logically he'll replace with another defender. But hopefully JWP gets his chance.
-
Squad mostly ok but i am surprised he didn't bring JWP to provide more depth in the middle with so many players yet to prove their fitness.

Keep going like that and you'll have to start charging!
-
The arrogance of Scholes and Ferdinand in the build up saying they should win comfortably... 🤪
-
Well that didn't work out.. Only one team really wanted it.
-
Well.. I'm glad it's over. We've had some poor finishes to the season before but this one feels particularly bad as its been bottom of the table form since January. The noises coming from the club about changing things (I.e. silence) are not a good sign. Fear the worst moving forward.. But we will at least be in the Prem for one more year!
-
Noone at all taking responsibility at the back there. Everyone looking at each other like its not their fault. Team spirit is part of the managers job too.. seems to have totally gone under Ralph. Too many problems to sort in one summer.
-
Oh dear what the heck was that defending. Just let him run on through and score. Utterly embarrassing..
-
Obafemi for Ings. Goodbye to him I think and thanks for the goals!
-
He has looked lively this past 10 mins but no end product as usual. Nice of him to try hard now there is only 10 mins of the season left.
-
Tella should have done better there.
-
Poor from Salisu there. But then he's new to this left back stuff.
-
He'll be back next year I guess as one of our main striking choices alongside Obafemi and Adams.
-
Very odd change to take off one of our best players today. Unless he's tired or carrying an injury. Obviously hoping to just keep it at 2 nil.
-
Really torture watching this season. Not sure why I keep doing it.
-
Not much chance I'd say. Nobody at the club is steering.
-
Well, glad we are safe already. Hope for better next year.

Is it any worse than it used to be though? All VAR does is bring under the spotlight the bias (consious or unconscious) that the regulators generally have toward bigger teams. Refs have been doing it for years anyway. (See figures for penalties given against Man Utd at OT)
