Believe it or not before this game 41.85! Bowling such a problem this year. I think it's time for Balcombe & Griffiths to maybye find different counties. Both good bowlers, but it's just not happening for them.

Two pretty evenly matched teams. Katich & Ali will want to put one over on us. I reckon we just have the edge. They only won 5 but tied 2. Should be good.

Alan Mullaly's commentary is on fire tonight! He managed to stop talking about himself & referred to the game for a couple of minutes. My favourite Mullaly comment tonight is, 'do you think Middlesex are going through the motions?' unlikely Al as they have to win to qualify. He has actually drifted into the zone of being so bad he's good.

In the last 5 years Hampshire have appeared in 5 QT finals...& 3 finals days. I believe we have had 1 player in the England 20/20 squad in that period ( im not counting Peterson) why is this? How the hell has Carberry not played at least 20/20 for England. It's not like he's a flash in tje pan..he's been banging out the runs for years. Ps forgot Lumb.

Dimi Retiring at the end of the year. Really sad about this , I thought he had another two years in him, but his achilles has won in the end. Hampshire legend, probably second most decorated Hampshire player ( i think Ervine has probably won the most medals) interestingly I checked Cricinfo & Dimi has taken 100 more first class wickts than Flintoff, at a lower average!

That stat of 29 wins in 34 is phonomenal!...especially when you conisider20/20 is such a lottery, even more so when you consider the South group has got to be the toughest of the three. I gonna predict that no team will ever win 29 out of 34 in the history of 20/20 again.

Yeah it's a tough one. Lords is his home ground. Going to be interesting to see what they do. Trouble is if he is off the pace it leaves us with 3 bowlers & jimmy can't keep bowling 55 overs per test.

I was watching Finn on Sunday, & he looks mentally shot. His run-up was really stuterring and he could barely get his arm over to bowl, it was like he had the yips. He used to to knock the stumps over at the bowlers end when releasingthe ball quite regularly, but now thats a no-ball, I wonder if that is affecting him?

Appatently we've won 28 of our last 33 20/20 games. If that is correct that is incredible.

Mate its my last post but we are going to have to agree to disagree. On the basis that both teams want a result, if Adams goes up to the Glos captain and says 'allright mate you've kicked our arse all match, but how about we concoct a finish where you have just two sessions to bowl us out' the Glos captian is going to **** himself and tell Adams to **** off. The game then would have just limped to a draw. The important thing is Glos already had 400 on the board we were negotiating from a weak position, we took the best we could get without Glos telling us to do one, or simply deciding to bat out a draw. We are not a charity case...we are ****...there is a difference!

Yeah, but on the balance of the game we were getting dicked. Gloucester wete killing us, you cant expect them to let us score 100, declare, they then forfeit an innings and set us 300..that would be complete madness on their part Bottom line is we had a weakhand and took what we could get, other than playing for a draw. You can't expect a team to give us a sporting chance just because we are ****! We've got to become good enough to chase thse totals, rather than hope teams feel sorry for us.

I've got to say I dont think it was that bad a decision 411 in 5 sessions. With Glos holding the upper hand I think it's only fair a target was set where they had a slightly better chance of winning, you cam't expect a team who has just svored 400, to then say,'ok lets make this an even contest' beggars can't be choosers. Bottom line is we are ****!

KInd of shocked Hampshire set them 340. In the last100 years of cricket that kind of total hasn't been chased down too often in a county game, especially as Kent sacrificed batting points to declare If i was Kent I would have agreed to 280-300......but maybye there were ok with it! Fair play to Kent. Win this & we are rightback in the mix.

Yeah i'm guessing if we can get a qick 300 lead (if we arent bowled out!) declare & give them about 80 over to get 300. Game on.
