Its a shame, but i really believe that a few of our fans have become used to 2nd best and disappointment - they are scared to wish/want/hope for success as fear the disappointment. There is/was never any reason why we cant make the playoffs - if we had'nt had a real bad start then auto promotion was a realistic target. AP wanted top 2, he is now settling for the PO - anything else will be seen as a failure to him, NC and me. Like you say - how anyone can settle for mid table with half the games left to play is beyond me.

For the price of Fonte we could have bought the whole Millwall team...........................................................................TWICE! Millwall expected a tougher game yesterday - general impression on the Millwall forum is they deserved to win (easily) and that we were one of the less effective teams to have played them for quite some while.

Those odds will be based on precedent and our side compared with others in L1. It will also factor in the BIG bucks we have spent and the fact that no club will have spent so much and failed to get promoted from L1.
