  1. Really interesting and revealing couple of blogs, which contain an interview from WHU's co owner. They really did waste their time in January! http://www.westhamtillidie.com/2012/02/19/in-conversation-with-david-sullivan-part-3-we-tried-to-sign-tevez-and-torres/
  2. How good is Tadanari in the game?
  3. What a terrific weekend this has been.
  4. He's just a L1 goal scorer tbh. The same happened to him with Posh the last time they were up, he scored goals - about 8 or 9 - but no where near as prolific as in L1. Can't believe they forked out up to £3.5m for him.
  5. Coventry are gone, I haven't seen anything from them at any stage this season which suggest they'll stay up. So they're one. The skates will probably escape and get away with it, as the league allows them to strengthen their already expensive squad. Would expect Donny and possibly Bristiol City to fall.
  6. I think it was! He was probably trying to make the point that our defeats and poor performances were our 'true' colours at this level.
  7. It's the first time in a long time that we've had a player who attracts so much international attention.
  8. I think it's a combination of a lack of confidence and not being quite up to our standards of fitness. It's always good if a striker gets off to a good start at gets a goal early on, but he's still waiting at the mo (there is no way I'm giving him the goal against Burnley....). What you can say though is that his movement is terrific, he's always making clever runs on the shoulders of the centre backs - and he works his flaming arse off. If he carries on that, gets fitter, and gets a goal - then they'll start flowing. I'm pretty sure of that.
  9. Ah no i totally agree with you. They're being given an easy ride here, which makes it all the more confusing to hear their fans come out and say the FL are being harsh on them...
  10. They're quite clearly paying towards it in some way, as they could only complete the signing once their accounts were unfrozen. That is a fact.
  11. Surely, if anything, that's the last priority? The first priority would be ensuring the charities and services get paid. But not in Portsmouth apparently.
  12. If the expectations of the Wolves owner are true, then I can't see many accepting the job - just way too much pressure. Apparently it's not good enough to se a club like Wolves towards the bottom of the premier league.......not sure what else can be done with their squad.
  13. That's more like it. This is much more reminiscent of our early season performances. We started the game very well I thought and we took a deserved lead early on through Jos - great delivery and he's turning into a pretty prolific centre back! I thought we'd then go on and rack up the goals straight away, but to be fair to Derby they came well into it and put us under quite a bit of pressure before the HT break. We still had quality in our play though and every time we ventured forward you felt we could score, we looked very dangerous. I didn't think Sharp had the best of games and I hope that miss @ WHU doesn't effect him too much, as he looked a little low and flat today - he's better than that and we'll see that eventually. We had to withstand a little bit more pressure in the 2nd half and the goal from Martin came at the perfect time - it pretty much flattened derby and took the wind out of their sails, and from there on then it was done and dusted for us. We played some great stuff in the 2nd half and I thought Chaplow was starting to influence things again, although you can see he's still slightly off the pace - and that will only come back with games. The third goal was quality, great move from back to front and the volley from Lallana was sublime - and I thought he was exceptional today. Driving us forward and dictating the tempo - MOTM by an absolute mile, a true class act who is back to his brilliant best. Then we get onto Lee....what a flaming goal that was. Great first touch and an even better 2nd touch. He showed his true quality there and we've got ourselves a proper player - no doubts about that. Overall a nice 4-0 win, back to the top and a boost to our GD. A goal for Lee will do him the world of good as he is class IMO, and those 60mins for Chappers will be massive for him - and for us. We look right back in the groove now - the blip is well and truly over.
  14. Some utter spastic skate fans on solent saying they shouldn't have been deducted 10 points, and the league needs to stop ''kicking us when we're down'' Err you idiot, i think you better thank your lucky stars they're being as lenient as they are. It's just amazing that after all this time and all this mess, they STILL don't get it! Clueless clowns.
  15. So why have they been able to sign him now? Oh yeah, because their accounts have been unfrozen - so he is costing $$$. It's sick.
  16. I'm starting to think the same as well. They just don't want to punish them for whatever reason.
  17. I don't think they should be allowed to sign anyone to strengthen their position. They need to be punished and I cannot see any punishments happening. At the moment just a messily 10 point deduction and the ability reopened to sign players. It's mental.
  18. Absolutely sickening. The clubs in the bottom 3 should do something about this, it's not fair.
  19. TBF we've got a couple of weeks yet, we usually play them on their first game...so this is an improvement!
  20. what a mental game this is so far. Reading don't deserve that tbf.
  21. Luton town must be going mad. I know what they did is slightly different, but I'm sure if anyone had the real guts to look through Pompey's books there would be as good a ground as any to hit them with -20 at least. Watch the bastards now survive and get a new owner, and come through this stronger. It shouldn't be allowed, but for some reason the authorities just don't want to punish them.
  22. They're getting away with it again then.
  23. I think it was an open for an hour after FT, a couple of the players used to go down and do interviews in the concourse too. but you're probably right, most people would have left by the time it could get going.
  24. Based on Spurs fans views, and some views from people in Spain. He quite clearly has exceptional technical ability, just slightly lightweight in my first viewing of him.
  25. Not sure what's more ridiculous. The rumour, or the fact someone is saying he's not good enough for us.
