Agree, he does look too good...but you never know? Looks exactly the type of striker we need - and Pards does have a nack of being able to get some v highly rated young players. He signed Yasin Moutawakil for Charlton a couple of seasons ago, right from under the noses of Villa and Everton. Nothing wrong with a bit of idle speculation anyway!

Don't think so. They've mentioned that on the twitter just below, i guess both deals have been finalised tonight and will be formally announced tomorrow AM. Same happened with Pardew iirc.

not much, mentioned us in passing for about 5 seconds. Was mainly focused on MK Dons and Tranmere as they had Paul Ince and John Barnes on the line.

I'm not sure why people keep writing Perry off, just because he's 36. He was one of our main players last year and he's very fit. As someone said above, playing Perry (the calm/composed centre half, who can play it out) alongside Jhadi (the tough tackling, big beast of a centre back) will be the makings of a rock solid defense at L1 level IMO.

morgan schneiderlin was played as a CB in one of JP's games too - also (quite amazingly), they were also planning on playing Jake Thompson there as we had a few injuries (that's not a joke either, as they were trying him out at CB in reserve games) Thank god that regime is over.

Sounds like it's progressing well!! AP looks like he wants to fill the team with vocal experienced leaders - we'll be fine if he does this. (Murty and Jhadi is an awesome start)

Well, we could spend £2m on a LB and CB.....or you can use a bit of nouse to get similar/better quality on Free's. (however you put it, Harding and Jhadi are top top class free transfers for us) Why are people wanting us to spend money for the sake of it? Do you want us to reverse straight back into debt again?

Bailey is an excellent player, kind of similar to Gillett though in many aspects. I'd say one to look out for is Jordan Rhodes at Huddersfield...

No idea! I think it was only a 1 year deal and will probably be based more on appearances and achievements rather than a flat rate.

Not sure what you expect tbh. He's as good as we can attract now - and he's still v good imo.

He's not coming from the prem - was released by Birmingham last season, but actually played in 32 games of their promotion season (they had one of the best defenses in the league)

Good signing if true - for this level a v big coup IMO. I'd imagine Charlton are no longer interested, seeing as they got Dailly instead.

I'm sure some of our fans would even moan if we signed Berbatov. (He's lazy, he's not fast enough...etc)
