Sorry I did get it a bit wrong, but as Saint Bletch said above I had to move from block 42 and went to the Itchen we were kept behind barriers and were not permitted to walk down Britannia Road and told to wait until they cleared the Pompey fans. I could not understand why they didnt let us all out first and keep them in, it made it difficult for people to get to Northam road.

Thank you I know my memory is not what it used to be but there was definitely a game that we were all kept in after and the visiting supporters were let out first, I will investigate this further.

It may be me but I did check with others who also remembered that there was a game that we were shut in after a game (I thought it was against Pompey) and the visitors went out first. Just hope someone else on here can remember it.

after the game. Last time we played them I am sure it was us that was shut in after the match for about 10 minutes and they were let out first, so will this happen again this time. Never at any other ground have the home fans been shut in whilst the visitors have been let out first.l

Was looking at statistics and in all competitions we have played them 35 times, not counting Knights testimonial. Saturday will be my 15th derby game, lets hope for a repeat of the 95/96 result. Just wondered if any of the more mature fans on here remember games of the 60's and what the rivalry was like then. I can remember my uncles going to watch Pompey play in the early 60's when Saints werent playing or were away just to watch football and the rivalry wasnt that intense it seemed quite normal then to go to FP.

How many on here have away season tickets, I only know of a couple who have these but seriously considering doing this next season as it seems to save a lot of hassle.

Maybe we should print song sheets a la Tottenham, how embarrasing was that, cant remember what season it was but even the visiting supporters were given song sheets when entering the ground.

Maybe we could have an online version of the programme. I do understand that the requirement for programmes has gone down but there are still quite a few who do keep their programmes and catalogue them.

apparently only about 3,200 printed for the Ipswich cup game for a crowd of 20k could be a collectors item when we get to the final :-)
