    Odd then that Adkins has gone out of his way to praise the outstanding medical, physio and conditioning team. Maybe, just maybe, it was AP in the wrong. Who'd have thunk it?

    I was lucky enough to go to the game yesterday as a guest in hospitality. Adkins came up for an interview after the game. I've been to hospitality a fair few times now and this was the first time I'd seen the manager interviewed. He came across very well and interestingly made a pointed remark about moving away from AP's style of play. Had to laugh at the other interviews, Martin and Oxo. Both of them when asked what the new manager was like replied 'He's nice'.

     

    Very impressed with the two subs, I hope they both start the next game. Something has to be done about Hammond, he offers nothing to the side.

    I don't agree with the same old line about having the 'best squad in the league' but this is a very good point indeed:

     

    "There are other possible changes, Dean Hammond is certainly one candidate for a spell on the bench, I find it very ironic that Hammond is underperforming whilst a man not considered good enough for our team, Simon Gillett is starring for Doncaster in the Championship as they hit the lofty heights of fourth."

    Your right people often assume clubs in this league are good or crap based on thier name. Look at the Dons new manager and a whole load of new faces this season very different oppostion to last season. We had a strong squad last season this season not so much. Lloyd James was much more important than anyone knew;)

     

    Agreed, and if Hammond & Morgan are the best CM pairing in this league then I'm Henry Kissinger.

    I was wondering if there was a rift between the players as well, dont know why but they dont seem to like each other much lately.

     

    They are meant to be playing for the same team FFS. Just like us lot on this forum, we all want the same thing and you never see us arguing!!

    Delete if necessary.. However since the end of last season everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, on paper there is no doubt that we have by far the strongest squad if everyone performed to their potential, however that's the problem, the players just aren't clued up, not that I want this to turn into a thread to speculate but I feel its a area that does need to be discussed.. Has something behind the sense gone wrong, has the departure of AP knocked the stuffing ( whats left) out of the players, why is ricke Lambert a shadow of the player from last season? Fitness has been mentioned however fitness wasn't an issue last season so why all of a sudden is it..

     

    Another area is signings, this season although AP did sign a number of potentially good players we still have a few areas that need covering, the most obvious being up front, no goals in 3 games? something needs to be done and quick. the positive from this is that NA is known to have a good eye for a striker and therefore hopefully will bring in someone that will 'kick start' the season because it is rapidly falling apart and another year in league one is becoming more likely..

     

    NC Is another person or topic that keeps appearing, with many supports slating him with myself even criticizing his decision ( sacking of AP), however since the 'meal of 14' my views and others have changed, with it appearing that NC has very poor communication skills BUT does however have a reason for everything and isn't Lowes long lost child.. e.g the ticketing system...

     

    I hear lot's of people say this but is this really the case. I don't know enough about all the other sides to say one way or the other.

    Good point. I agree with you there.

     

    I just hate 'additional fees', especially the ubiquitous 'booking fee' surcharge (as such I'll never fly Ryanair). I like all costs to be kept simple.

     

    I don't understand why it's £3 in advance (phone/web), but £2 on the day (via ticket office). Surely the processing time is similar? Is it postage fees? Anyhow, I'm going off topic. I'm not slating Cortese over this, I don't consider it to be a mistake, just I always get annoyed whenever anything has addtional fees attached. All I want is to be told the cost, and pay the price, without someone then saying that there is a 'transaction surcharge' or something.

     

    I take it you havn't been to the US where they don't display their sales tax, bloody annoying.

    A week ago Cortese could do no right, and the 'pro' Cortese posters (like myself) were suggesting that we should judge his actions on their merits, and criticise constructively.

     

    Now, in the light of the new information the 'anti' Cortese posters have now started to argue the same thing, but they seem to be trying to make out that the 'pro' Cortese group are still somehow suggesting that Cortese is above criticism. We're not. Don't try to undermine the argument with a straw dummy. We are still saying Cortese should be judged rationally, that he should be criticised where he has made mistakes, and that we shouldn't leap to conclusions without evidence.

     

    As such, my position on Cortese has not been changed at all this week, I still see him as someone very professional, who has made few mistakes, but who should be rightly criticised if he has definately messed up (of which I have seen no evidence). I will continue to criticise him over the ticket booking fee (just add an extra £3 to the cost of the ticket and be done with it), and on his photographer ban (the reversal of which demonstrates that Cortese is willing to back down, he's willing to acknowledge when he has made a mistake, and is willing to try out different ideas).

     

    Agree with much of what you say apart from this. As someone else pointed out many people buy 'batches' of tickets on-line i.e. if you buy 5 tickets there is still just a £3 booking fee. What you suggest would mean an extra £15 for 5 tickets. this would in effect be a 10% (ish) rise in ticket prices.

    A slice of toast with Bovril, a cup of coffee, a glass of orange juice (Tropicana), a muti-vitamin tablet, a vitamin C tablet and an Actimel.

     

    I swear by the Actimel's. I definately suffer from colds/flu far less since taking them. Even my daughter has one every day. She has had just half a day off sick from school in 7 years.
