Redmond did pretty well but we were crying out for him to take a pop with his left and after Yodhida went off he did just that (forced a save) but ironically it was probably an ideal situation to cut in and curl right footed into the corner.
Hughsey has him and Tadic playing much better, too bad the board shilly shallied until March to bring him in.
I know they’d never change it but I wonder how much time the ball is actually in play. Say it’s 60 minutes of the 90, a 2x30minute game with the clock stopping when the ball goes out would eliminate the guessing during added time.
Just musing here. The suspense probably adds to the game but it’s easy to feel hard done to when they seem to go until a big team scores or blow up early when a favoured team is ahead.
Hopefully we win and don’t need anything vs City. Remember the last time, each day leading up I’d think, nah we’re down, then the next day, maybe we could do it, bit of magic, next day, but realistically we’ll lose...torture
No sleep til Swansea
Can’t take much more of this. Knowing Saints we’ll draw and then go 1 up on City and Stoke 1 up on Swans. Then news will filter through that Swans equalized and we’ll ship 2 late goals to City, the last one, punched in by the referee at 90+10 while 2 City players are sitting on McCarthy.
They didn’t take the free kick from the spot if the alleged foul. They just punted it from 10yards further forward with Redmond and Long out of position.
He let them take it out of position. Long and Remond would have had time to regroup as would the midfield. Also, vital seconds would have ebbed off the clock when they were made to go back 10 yards to retake.
Forgot about that. ****. So angry. I think we’ve blown it. We’d have been above Huddy who have those tough fixtures. So ****ing Saints to concede with the last kick to a ****ty avoidable deflected mi****.
