I don't know what all the fuss is about. It looks rather good.

You keep deluding yourself Warwick. It must really hurt a bumptious individual like you to be wrong about stuff on a regular basis.

No not atm. I have two days left of work for 2008 then i'm leaving the country for warmer climes. Enjoy the recession.

Top post. Our John B is so far up Lowes arse he's lost the plot.
-
and that you're smug double glazing salesman with no orders.
-
Excellent. Not such a windfall for the PLC afterall.
-
Anyone who thinks hundreds of Man Utd fans will pay £20 plus the ticket price to see this game is deluded. It's not a European Cup final.
-
Lowe would obviously want us back in the Premiership, but even if we were to make it back we'd never be able to reach our potential because of the money a PLC syphons off.
-
Well obviously, but this suspension of new memberships aka cutting off your nose to spite your face, will cost the club much needed money. The match will go on general sale anyway so this move will save anyone wanting a ticket from wasting £20.

I'm perfetcly aware of "Michael Wilde", thanks all the same. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/member.php?u=8636

My attention obviously only extends to my point of view. If any of Rupeys Groupies wish to find quotes to match their point of view then they should do so.

Steve Grant confirmed it is Wilde.

The statement that he resigned because of a failure to raise finance was only issued to try and reduce fans unrealistic expectations. IMO, it was through Wilde's efforts, that PA was clearly aware that his approach would be welcomed rather than shunned and this is a big factor when looking at a potential acquisition. We now know that PA had contact with the club several months ago, before MW's resignation. IMO it is down to Wilde that we now have this opportunity to stabilise and secure the long term future of the club. If this takeover goes through I think we all owe him bigtime. Their agendas are transparent in the extreme and they have lost all credibility as a result. IMO Wilde has been badly let down by all those currently on the Board, most of whom he brought in, both Executives and Non-Executives. I am sure he is looking on in dismay at what is happening - particularly with the Executives seizing control of the PLC Board with a flagrent disregard for his Manifesto. I echo Brian Bennet's sentiment - Wilde was always crucial to the success of our club post-RL and we are now starting to see why. I only hope he steps up to the plate once more and delivers the Club from this ridiculous situation (yet again) as I can't see anyone else out there capable of sorting this out and certainly not anyone on the current Board.. The said spending spree occurring under Judas Wilde and the Execs he appointed.

Tell that to Lowe. It wasn't so long back his PR company posted on fans messageboards. Perhpas they still do....

Do you really think i care about whether you, or anyone else agrees with me? I know i'm right and when you know you are right about something you must stand by your convictions "The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is." Winston Churchill. "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." Winston Churchill. "One ought never to turn one's back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. Never run away from anything. Never!" Winston Churchill.

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time-a tremendous whack. Winston Churchill.

And he'll blame everyone for this bar himself and his little helper.
-
Which demonstrates what a liability and what a divisive figurehead Lowe is.
-
And therin lies the problem. As a PLC we are constrained because the minute we start making money the likes of Lowe syphon it off.
-
PLC's do not work in football. Give me some examples of clubs that are PLC's working. I dare say the only example you could give would have been Man Utd - but they are a brand over and above being a club.
-
Who should be on it? Personally i'd like to see Cecil Rhodes on it. A man who did more to put the great into Great Britain than anyone else.
-
No. I wa discussing it with a Notts Forest fan and like me he see's the same problem with his club. PLC's are not there for the good of the club - they are there for the good of the likes of Lowe.
