Like we never had top ten finnishes before Lowe arrived. Your argument is about as pathetic as the argument that Lowe invented youth development and bringing the likes of Le tissier, Shearer, ruddock, the Wallace brothers etc up through the ranks was just a dream. As for the cup final - we got **** easy draws and then lost in the final. We then played 1 team in europe and got knocked out. Big deal.
-
True, but crucially there's no Saint David, Saintlee, longlifemilk, helpmerhonda or tommac bigging this one up. For that reason alone it's more plausible than the previous installments.
-
Morph do you think Lowe and Wilde will sell up for peanuts on the eve of administration, or will they call in the administrators and inflict a points deduction on the club out of spite?
-
Well you sing from Scoobys songsheet so why take offence at a reasonable assumption?

Are you Scooby in disguise?

Our best XI is of League 1 standard and i think we'll be putting out a weakened side of an already weak side. Therefore unless Exeter rest players i think it's going to a level playing field in terms of quality. I fancy a draw, but it could go either way.
-
Guided Misile, you obviously put this thread up a) Because you like the attention and b) Because you plan to follow up your fishing by deriding those who don't share your opinion. Do you still hate turncoat Wilde (i think he claims to be a fellow Saints fan)?
-
A hockey loving West Ham fan whose only love of Saints is the money he can get out of it. Do i hate him with a passion? Too right i do.
-
Exactly. If it transpires that those hit round the head were Southampton hooligans then should anyone feel sorry for them? The problem is that these ferral louts will get normal fans into trouble through their antics sooner or later.
-
If you don't know the difference between 'where and were' i think Southampton institute would be more appropriate than the Uni.
-
To be honest you and your Cardiff mate should have been more streetwise and not gone in local pubs. It's not like everyone doesn't know what vile Cardiff "fans" are like.

Anyone who finds stamping on a fellow humans head amusing needs sectioning under the mental health act.

So you can't prove me wrong and therefore that is an admission that you made up the statement that i highlighted. Why? Is it really worth lieing to support an opinion on a internet messageboard? I think you, and a good many others, need to get over your blind obsessions and be more objective and honest.
-
The point i'm making is that i look at the full picture and make a judement, wheras you clearly paint the picture how you want it to look. Prove me wrong. Substantiate your claim or admit you just made it up.
-
The trouble with people with "one track minds" like you and the other obsessives (on both sides of the fence) is that you have an agenda - supporting Lowe, and when you are unable to present a factual and honest reply you just make things up. Would it not be better to simply say nothing than to Lie? By all mens have a different viewpoint, but keep it real folks.

The bank agreed to support Leon Crouch for another 12 months. Of course they will throw some good money after the bad for a certain amount of time because in comparison to the monies owing the overdraft is a drop in the ocean. However they won't keep doing this year on year. Eventually Barclays will say enough is enough. You talk of Lowes cost cutting. Pray tell us how much we are making/losing a month now?
-
You seem rather dismissive of the consortium from that comment. Is this stance taken from you being "In the Know" as to the Merrington consortiums finances or is your assumption pure guesswork? I'm simply stating that the cheaper the Merrington consortium can buy us for, the more money they will have left to spend on what matters - SFC. A reasonable enough comment i would suggest. As to your last comment you clearly didn't read what i wrote so maybe you should read it through again a little bit more slowly. The simple truth is that Saints is a sinking ship with unsustainable losses. Accelerating the process to bring about investment is not jeopodising the present, it is securing the future.
-
I think you put too much weight on the power of Lowe and his share block. In the past when the club was profitable Lowe and his cronies would have been all powerful depending on which head Worzel Gummidge Wilde was wearing at the time. The club is now a loss making entity and that is unsustainable. Think of those who boycott as clingons sapping Lowes power. The less money that is coming into the starship St Marys the less chance Lowe has of placating Barclays for another year. This situation in effect turns Lowe and his share block into lame ducks on a duck hunt and increases the possibilty that Lowe and Wilde will have to play ball with the Merrington consortium on the terms of the Merrington consortium. The cheaper the Merrington consortium can get the shares, the more money there is to invest in SFC. For this simple reason the fans who are boycotting are doing a great service to the future of the club.
-
The reality of the situation is that if Saints do well Lowe will get a reprieve. However the likelyhood is that we'll struggle next season and Lowe will once again be the target of fans frustrations. It doesn't matter what's posted on here, the way Lowe was booed at Claus's testimonial shows that in the real world he is as unpopular as ever.
-
tommac and helpmerhonda were amusing to a point, but i do feel sorry for Marc Jackson. The poor bloke lost shed loads of money for his efforts. He was just so unbelieveably stupid, but i still think he was genuine.
-
I don't know why, but unlike in the case of lifelongsaint, tommac, helpmerhonda etc etc, i actually did think you were ITK and not full of it. I can't be bothered to check through your posts (lol they've gone anyway) so any chance of a summary of what you feel comfortable posting for all to see?

http://www.punchaceleb.com/hit/lowe I think this is the smug mugshot you were looking for.

Lowe burnt too many bridges last time for that to happen.

Under UK law a person is "tax resident" if that person visits the country for 183 days or more in the tax year or for 91 days or more on average in any four consecutive tax years. So Mike Wilde is only allowed 91 days in the coutry before he is taxed like the rest of us. Is this the reason why Mike Wilde will not carry out such a reasonable request?
