Also at the time Mike Wilde, under the guise of Saint Marc, started a thread on the old TSF that basically highlighted a Mirror article with a negative slant on the SISU hedge fund. The impression Saint Marc aka Mike Wilde obviouysly wanted to press was that SISU would be bad for Southampton Football Club. Well i can't see it being worse than the inevitble course we are now on - ADMINISTRATION, so why was Wilde so against the offer? The only conclusion i can come to is that Wilde was greedy and thought he could hold out for more money for his shares either from SISU or a.n.other. Basically nothing Wilde says can be taken at face value so all we can do is try to read between the lines.

I totally understand this point of view. The club are in a no-win situation on this one. Next season the ST up-take is going to plummet further though. I'm afraid the club is ****ed and the sooner we go into administration the better. It's going to happen so we might as well get used to it and the sooner it happens the sooner we can get it over with and come out the other side. The decline caused might take a decade or more to recover from, but nothing can stop it imo so we might as well get it on.

We had our chance with the SISU bid.

And what happened to the "War Chest" Lowe so often waffled on about?
-
Why just stop at two revolutinary concepts when we could combine Sports Science, Total Football and Football First.

To be fair you didn't have to be a Lowe Luvvie to be against Wilde. I was and am dead against Lowe but even so wasn't taken in by Wilde for very long. Wilde uses fans. He used Keith on SaintsForever and the alarm bells started ringing. Then he saw the opportunity of good PR by using - and in doing so killing off - the Saints Trust. He even went as far as telling Andrew Cowen the SOS people wanted him back as chairman when they didn't. MW is clearly not to be trusted.

The reason a London club is a better investment than Southampton is because London clubs can attract better players than us. London is like a magnet, especially for foreigners. You only have to visit the city and play spot the Englishman to see this.

You are primarily correct, but in these times of the clubs low eb i believe Skacel is the one potential ray of light. I know he's not done it at Saints, but you can tell he's a good player. He's a bit like a Stan Collymore perhaps who worked well under Barry Fry (Southend) and Cloughie (Forest) but failed under other managers. If Portvliet cannot get the best out of him then that Portvliets failure as a manager. I'm only at the bottom level of management myself, but i believe the people under me are a reflection of me - if they're not performing i'm not performing.

I kind of agree with you in the sense that Wilde has let EVERYONE down, but even then his ****-ups still fall short of Lowes - just. The biggest issue i have with Wilde isn't his incompetent employment of the Execs, or even the way he flounced into SFC giving the impression it'd herald investment, my real problem with Wilde is the way he's used the clubs supporters. He used Keith and S4E. He used the Saints Trust. He used the SOS delegation. And he betrayed fans oposed to the return of Rupert Lowe.
-
As you please Ronald. It takes integrity and morals to admit you were in the wrong. I won't hold my breath waiting for an apology from you.
-
You and the other SOS representatives made a commitment to stipulate to MW that the meeting was minuted and reported back on tsf. This was debated and was agreed beforehand. Then you got to the meeting and paniced you might be missing out on something (in much the same way as you pulled the ki ora dog (i'll be your friend woof woof) routine with tommac)) and decided you'd look after your own ITK interests. The SOS debacle clearly shows that your integrity is not to be trusted and that you only value the comittment of a promise when it suits. So where's the twisting? This is exactly what happened.
-
That's not strictly true. SOS ring any bells?
-
It's nonsensical that Skacel isn't playing. 1. He's our best player. 2. He's a player that will up the gates.
-
Dean Richards wasn't young at Saints.
-
Sad Old Git why can't you just face it that Burley was a an un-motivated dunk? It was obviously a mistake replacing him with Dodd and Gorman, but surely this added turbulence only emphasises the great job Nigel Pearson did to turn things around.
-
Portaloo was always going to be a yes man. I wouldn't be suprised if lowe doesn't fax him the team sheet, that him and Wotte have drawn up, before each game. And NO, i'm not jesting. With lowe it really would not suprise me. Anyone remember Augustin Delgado?
-
We're going down. We're a crock of sh1te now, imagine how much worse we'll be after Lowe has asset stripped the squad in January.
-
Snowballs is a well respected poster who's probably done more games than you've had hot dinners.
-
The Dutch clown should be playing Rudi Skacel. Personally i couldn't give a flying **** about what's gone on in the past, it's up to Portvliet to iron out any problems. Leaving our best player out is madness.
-
Leon is a true Saints man. If only he was still chairman we'd have Nigel Pearson in charge and we'd be in with a realistic chance of promotion. Thanks to Wilde we're down and out.

SISU 4 - 1 Mike Wilde Does anyone remember Wilde, under the guise of Saint Marc, starting a thread highlighting a negative slant on SISU in a Daily Mirror article? So why was Wilde so opposed to SISU's 41p per share offer? Was it EGO? - it's my trainset and i want to play with it. Was it greed? - thinking he'd get more money if he held out for a.n.other investor.
-
They should erect some stocks in the centre circle and let everyone throw rotten fruit, eggs, bricks etc at Rupert Lowe at half time. That'd get the crowds in.
-
I don't even read the official site anymore. I used to think of this place as all happy clappy fingers in ears stuff, but the OS takes it to chemical Ali levels.
-
Either Portaloo is off his rocker or there's some political reason why he's not getting in the team. It makes no sense from where i'm sitting not to play him.

ho ho ho andrew, just been reviewing your uni project. Did you use Lowe as a role model for the President and C.E.O.
