We have been trying to shift Saga and Thomas for 18 months (or more) now. Neither of them will leave unless we either pay them off or subsidise a loan move for them. They cost too much for their ability, football wise they are not in the "value for money" bracket. No player is going to wander off for a 3K a week contract now whilst they can still collect big swans from us and sort something out at the end of the season, which is just 4 months away. 24x4000 £= a whole lot of cash.

We won't make the play-offs this season, even with Rooney,Ronaldo and Vidic it would probably be difficult. There's no way splashing another 5 or 6 million will change much because we have a 13 point (or so) deficit on the last place and 2 (or even 3) of the places are already as good as signed ,sealed and delivered. Plus there are plenty of sides in between us and 6th place, they won't all go into free-fall.

Jon Otsemobor signed on 6 month contract

Norwich is a crap hole, anyone passing within 10 miles of the place probably contracts severe clinical depression. Norwich fans also thought Brynn Gunn was a good manager,in reality probably one of the worst choices ever known to football. -

Lloyd James will get the job, I really don't think that there will be any more "big money" signings this time round. Perhaps I'll be surprised but I tend to think not.If no core player leaves I doubt that we'll spend much more this time. If we are really interested in Stock or Danns then it is probably because someone has asked to move on; Lallana or Schneiderlin take your pick. -

the midfield is fine as it it, when they stop having to nursemaid the defence. -

Why is it disappointing, we've got what we needed, new defensive elements to enable us to stop shipping goals. We score enough anyway. -

Great a right back and two centre backs, just what we needed. The FA can close the window now, we're done. -

I bet we don't though. -
I bet Antonio starts in place of Waigo though.Illogical, Unexplainable but that's what happens anyway.

not the sort of thing you should say without certainty or proof really. -

Probably had more money available than he could handle. It's an art being manager of a rich football club you know. viz Mark Hughes.OK in a way but Mancini is obviously better, some managers do better with scraps and dog-ends than they do with bags of cash. -
But he says in his interview that he hopes to play at Millwall. What's all the Jaidi was fine in Oceania about then??
-
Perhaps not the best choice of post to click on then.On another thread there is much whining about Seaborne when they were expecting Ward? That's really negative and came of too much advance "knowledge" and thus too much expectation. You might not give a flying one but you're probably in the minority. If we don't sign Stock,Danns,Ward, and Jackson (or Barnard) there are going to be a lot of disappointed people.Which is why a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
-
But why is it so important to know everything in advance? ....is it going to change your life..probably not, is a player gabbing on Facebook (or whatever) going to change his...probably. So just leave it all alone and be patient, like everyone used to do.Then when it happens it will be great and if it doesn't no-one will feel "underwhelmed".

if we can find someone to take him off our hands before his contract runs out. If he's say on 8K (just a ball park figure) not many CCC clubs pay that now and we'd have to subsidise any loan for him. -

Oh SSN aren't the paragons of verity that some like to think. Maybe we are going to sign him anyway. All I'm saying is that with football transfers for players looking for reasonable large pay packets and not playing for their current clubs there is often a generous helping of bullcrap spread all over the media. Some manager or other referred to it yesterday when talking about Beckford. -

Meaning that we have a very real idea of what a player is worth and aren't (or apparently so) going to be pushed over it easily. -

There was an OS "health warning" last week, don't believe it until we tell you it's true. I did that cos I've been there before with Saints.Agents work overtime and sometimes put stuff about that isn't kosher. -

true, you need cultured defenders for that, not hoofers like Jaidi, they have to be able to use the ball as well. -

how do you know it was ever on to fall through?? Probably like Lines,a lot of hot air from people who live in dream worlds and dine with CEOs of multinationals every day. -

Probably because you've been wound up by silly idiots who keep talking about big money (for League 1) transfers all the time just for their own amusement. -

What if (just what if) Seaborne is to be the defensive partner of Jaidi and Fonté is going to play in front of the back 4. -
