Without having followed the Stock thread I'd be amazed if any club takes a big punt on him right now, hasn't he just come back from an ankle operation? Probably played 1 game since.

Most of them who have reached the 4th round of the FA Cup,have a JPT final in view and who are getting 20K gates from players who are mostly on League 1 salaries.The club is making money from a lot of games, some of it is being spent on the people who are making it happen.

But Murty is injured most of the time, 5 league starts from 24 isn't what you'd expect from a core player.

Doubt it, he was training with the reserves at PSG up to just before Christmas, doesn't get paid or anything, just turns up and trains.No possibility of him playing for them though,he even offered to play for free (or just get a bonus if they get in the top 4 -which is unlikely).It's a well known fact around the Camp des Loges.

But as we have as yet to permanently sign an active player from a superior level club it makes you wonder exactly what it will take to get them to sign for us in League 1.

He probably doesn't fancy 18 months in League 1. That's going to be a really big sticking block for us on signing players. Plus I doubt that we are offering top class salaries, decent salaries without a doubt but no one is going to get more than 6 or 7 K basic from us.
