No we won't, probably win 3-1 for a change.
-
It's certainly no worse than the one we played last week . I happen to think that James is better at RB than Thomas and Trotman is no loss whatsoever. He started well but then went into a downward spiral. Probably got too big for his boots.
-
Probably got their info from the Echo.
-
Perhaps not before the game, but nanoseconds after Hughie scored in the last minute, and 30,000 people will assure you of this, a vision of the twin towers planed over the Dell.
-
what injury crisis, didn't know we had one.Probably means we want to loan him to someone else.
-
That would be because clubs in superior League have difficulty assessing "talent" because of the perceived standard of League 1. Just look at the quotes from Gordon Watson scouting for Leicester concerning Lallana.
-
It depends, looking at the goals we conceded on Monday makes me think we could lose to any side at any time.We will never be a "banker" team until we eliminate those howlers.

Has he ever in fact been in the Cameroon team, played for France U21s because he is actually French of Cameroon descent.I don't really think he's in Le Guen's plans just now.

i have, you haven't missed much, they put us in a cage and a policeperson of the gentle sex hit me with her truncheon.I knew I shouldn't have asked her what she did with it;););) Still 8 pints of JC Mild always brings out the curiosity in me.

Mark Wright was 19 when he came to the Dell and about 24 when he left, with nigh on 200 first team games on his counter in the meantime. Rio Ferdinand was about 24 when he was sold to United for 30 million,he'd played about 250 top level matches by then. If you're good enough you're old enough.

Bof, offside is a complete lottery now, looking at the video clips of Monday's game I'd say Wordsworth was fractionally offside in the build up to their first goal. The Norwich bloke was definitely offside in the JP game. Perhaps it's as some say Waigo isn't always offside when it's given, just as quite a few incidents not given are in fact offside. Going back to Monday's first goal, I've been looking at in in slow motion and it really is a wicked bad goal. After Trotman muffs his header and gives Lisbie tha ball he (Lisbie i)s surrounded by 3 of our players, but they're all standing off him,not one of them tries to dispossess him, it's left to Morgan (I think) to come racing back from at least twice the distance away to try and tackle him, Jaidi,Trotman and Harding just ball watch and try to anticipate the lay off, without actually noticing that Wordsworth has got behind Jaidi but it still onside (or not ?) because of Harding's placement, although Harding is by then 10 metres off the ball. It's a schoolboy f*ck up that any Commercial House coach would bollok his players all week for.

But Waigo hardly ever played in Serie A, he's a serie B player who didn't (or hasn't yet) really made the step up.

Our team for the second half of the season...

AS for official news,I don't think the OS has been updated very much at all this week, there's not much news about anything. Just about 2 minutes of "highlights" on th Colchester game and a couple of "sick as a parrot/over the moon" interview which actually say very little. -
Hertha Berlin and Lille(to a somewhat lesser extent) having been looking at him. The asking price is thought to be 1.5/2 million euros (work that out for yourselves).

Someone said he got smacked round the head on Saturday and was subbed with concussion.Doesn't appear officially anywhere though. -
I trust you mean that he needs to learn to foul the striker in a manner which doesn't lead to him obtaining direct red cards.
-
And yet someone told us that Grimsby weren't interested in keeping him just the other day.

Oh, these lads have a certain way of doing things you know, they like to haggle a bit as if the were down at the local souk. They think they can always haggle over everything. In the end someone somewhere will pay up,but not until they've had a few days at their favourite pastime. As an old italian finance director of mine once told me, "To pay and to die there's always time".

In the summer Aliadiere was rumoured at Wigan and that sort of club, but there was a 3.5 million fee attached so on a free now would be surprising.
-
Unfortunately we haven't blown all the other league 1 club out of the water with our results.I thought (in a personal way) that we'd be signing far far better players than Murty and Jaidi, I was wrong, so were our early results. I thought the new owners would want to mount a team capable of 1 hit promotion, we don't yet have that team, so i was wrong and so are the people expecting us to spend a lot of money this transfer window, that's all.
-
But as I say in the above I think many expected us to spend 4 or 5 million in total last summer, we didn't and a few were despondent or disappointed to say the least. Now there is more talk about "significant sums" and some names are being touted. What I am saying is that if it doesn't happen (which it probably won't) many will be despondent all over again. Personally I think we need just 2 players a CB and a RB, as for the rest I'm perfectly happy with what we have.
-
Excellent players, ie not Murty,Jaidi,Trotman etc. Blokes who are doing a good job in the CCC, no-one in particular. I wasn't impressed by our recruitment, I expected better, it was just an idea that I had of what would happen. I think there were quite a few others as well.

Aliadiere underwent an ankle operation back at the end of October following an injury. He was supposed to be absent about 8 weeks or so, so where this story about his contract being cancelled comes from I really don't know. Unless he has to pack it in on medical advice and Boro are going for the insurance money.
-
We shall see come the end of January.
-
Nope I thought we'd spend some real money on some really excellent players but I learnt that it wasn't how we were going to do things. Now I see stories of Reo-Coker and Beckford and I just know that we're going to go down the same road as we did last time. Perhaps 1 major signing for 750K to a million but that will be about it.We'll be scratching around for loans and out of contract players who may do a fine job for us but we will not be the Man C of our division. Once again, in my humble opinion we have a virtually zero chance of promotion this season. We are too far adrift and I think the management will see it that way as well.
