I just can't see that England would employ a man with no coaching qualifications and just a handful of England games to his name to coach players who are by far his superiors .Do you think Frank Lampard or Steven Gerrard are going to take any notice of an international non-entity like MLT? Those guys have actually scored penalties for England, they don't want some also ran telling them how to suck eggs. The 22 for the WC will be composed of seasoned internationals, some of them with nigh on 100 caps to their name, MLT is just an also ran in that company.
-
If England want a penalty coach then I assume they'll ask Shearer. He has coaching qualifications, has scored 54 penalties (including some for England) and knows about pressure in major international tournament. MLT is just not in the same league on the international scene.

Only 1.8 million for the monthly salary bill, no wonder they're crap.

Battiston was about 60 centimetres into the box when Schumacher hit him. The ref was a complete knob, Dutch ref for a game involving Germans should never have happened.Schumacher said in his book that he was trying to get the ball-well he would wouldn't he.He also said there was "substance use" in the German national side and in several Bundesliga clubs. As he had no proof he got slung out on his ear from booth club and country.

3 players on 4 cards now then, we'll have to be careful on that.

American Pie 1 actually is where you get Michelle's band camp flute confession. In 2 she just sticks a trumpet up Jim's jacksy.

Anyway not a bad draw for either nation.

Nothing whatsoever. It was a straight red even by 1982 standards and a penalty for a foul in the area. Ball doesn't need to be anywhere near for it to be a penalty, it was an assassination attempt. Ref gave f*ck all, just a goal kick. He'd been bought, that can be the only explanation.
-
Footballers cheat,it's up to the ref to blow up and book them for it. If he doesn't because he's a plonker well then alls fair in love, war and football. Anyway, the French have been victims of at least 2 world cup outrages, worst of all the flying drop kick by Schumacher on Patrick Battiston in the 1982 semi. FIFA owed them for that one, perhaps now it's even Steven again.

In fact there's a moral to this tale: If you buy a cowboy outfit to look good at the kids tea-party make sure you have enough pocket money for the caps that make the fake six-shooters go bang-bang. -
Yes they do, but Luton and Rotherham would probably be OK with those prices. No point in agreeing £35 and getting 7 blokes and a dog in at the gate. the prices look similar to those Luton are asking for their replay with Rotherham

About a quarter of the population of L'Ile de France aren't French anyway. Paris apart from "les beaux quartiers" is a crap hole. You people in your estates like Locks Heath and Hythe just can't imagine what housing estate life is like in the Parisian suburbs, when I lived there I had a friend come in from Oz,he thought he'd got on the wrong train and ended up in Africa.

Except for about 10% of the working population. Then again it's not surprising, you're better off at home with a family of 5 or 6 kids, subsidised rent,800 euros or so state handout (5 kids) free holidays, free sports activities all paid for by the poor mugs with only 2 kids earning minimum wage of about 1100 euros. They can't afford to stop the handouts because of the riots it would cause, they can't afford to create any jobs because of all the taxes the employers would have to pay to keep all the scroungers in luxury. Mitterand created this mess, unfortunately he snuffed it before he had to sort it out. France is a wonderful country, but not everything works, just the other day a postman was up in court because they found 400 kgs of undelivered letters in his basement, lazy bastard just couldn't be bothered to deliver them.
