  1. Whatever, it leaves us with a back 4 with a combined age of 131,and Harding is only 26.
  2. Never mind that, we are short of defending options on the pitch.
  3. This is exactly right. A chocolate medal to that man. Whoopsy, didn't look closely enough. Oh no not Perry again, he is dump, old slow and dump. Still the rest should be able to carry him, can't think what can possibly be wrong with Trottman.
  4. We will score early on from 25 yards, then they'll have to come at us to get even.
  5. Although being offside is usually an even money shot.
  6. I don't know exactly why but Glasgow doesn't seem to be a fan of AP. Obviously the team wasn't top 6,still isn't because of the diabolical defence we had and to some extent still have.Still don't let that get in the way of a bit of AP bashing.
  7. I doubt that we can actually make the playoffs this season. At best we will get 75/76 points and in view of the points/game ratio of the top 6 clubs that won't be enough because even if they do start losing more than a few games it will profit the teams immediately behind them. Sorry but the POs are really a lost cause this season.A nice day out at Wembley for the JPT and something to look forward to next season is the very best we can hope for. Unless of course we get 3 new defenders in on the 1st January, then and only then might I change my opinion.
  8. Don't know, probably about 100/1 5-1 seems to be about 55/1 or something like that, then again i don't really understand bookies web sites. Can't believe that they're being so generous as Wycombe really do get hammered a lot, although not in the last 2 games, then again we do score a lot of goals..
  9. Wycombe generally concede a lot of goals, we will win 7-1
  10. knowing full well that he couldn't play, just a helping hand to get his suspension cleared off in a match he wouldn't have played in anyway.
  11. in today's parlance that would equate to roughly "tarting about aimlessly"
  12. We should have probably done better at the start of the season, now don't think we have anything much to complain about, apart from losing to Brighton that is.Furthermore we are not the Man City of League 1,we have spent relatively little, I really don't know where this idea that we are big spenders comes from.We sold some players,we have invested roughly the same sum in new players. We get good gates for our division,we are having a couple of minor cup runs and bringing in a bit of money from them but we certainly aren't throwing away money on a new player every other day.If we were the Man C of our league we'd have bought 2 new central defenders in July or August instead of chasing after a 34 year old without a work permit and a loan maybe from Preston.
  13. It's a bit of a myth that we "don"t need the money".We do, we have too many loan players and that can only be because we don't want to buy too many just now.Liebherr might be very rich but he obviously has no intention of throwing bundles of notes at the team just now. He's put up a lot to buy the club and presumably pay off some debts. It stops there,we won't be buying new players in the near future unless the club is at least breaking even so if we want to get out of the loan spiral and improve the side well then we need to make money at the gate and from TV revenues. In the cup you have to give away 55% of the gate so there's not much point of having a 1 off bonanza against a big 4 club and nothing afterwards. Getting to the later rounds ensures more paydays and better TV payouts when you eventually get on.
  14. Not really, it means that if he doesn't score then KPT will have to make reparation to all that lose something (in the loose sense of the word) because of it.So I'm going to chuck 3 million quid on this bloke scoring and if he doesn't well then KP will have to make up the winnings for me.
  15. Good, we can win that and we'll get 21K or thereabouts anyway what'smore we owe Rotherham a good thumping Plus ticket prices will be reasonable and not 35£
  16. Sounds like Steve Austin
  17. A team that we can beat. No point in drawing ManU or Arsenal at home. We'd only get another 7 or 8 K anyway and the prices will get hiked.Plus we have to give them 45% and the FA 10% (or something like that) No point putting more money in their already overflowing pockets for a couple of K TV money, that can wait. For me someone beatable at home.
  18. Anyway many many people on this forum thought that Gillett was our best outfield player last season, they drooled over Saganowski as well. AP has had no time for either one of them, so I guess someone somewhere has got a dodgy opinion of what makes a "good player".Fortunately we got money from Wolves for Surman ,perhaps AP wouldn't have had much time for him either.
  19. Good looking starting 11, pity about the bench though.I expect Wotton to start with either Antonio or Waigo making way because if they're both there that makes a pretty indisciplined midfield.
  20. If we play that team we'd be trying to lose.
  21. Personally, I'm OK with Bart, I like his style. However he doesn't need to f**k up like he did at Rotherham last year.
  22. probably at fault for all 7 goals
  23. we're going to make it ugly then
  24. **** Taking by Life Long Saint, know it well
  25. It'll be enough to see off Hartlepool and keeps the "rest players for the cup" band happy;)
