my mates uncle was on the ardent and he featured heavily in the book "through fire and water"...the story of HMS Ardent..(which lost more 5 of its men than any other unit in the conflict).... basically, on the way back on the canberra (or QE2 cant remember which)..the night before they got into southampton, load of page 3/glamour girls were brought on..and in the book one of his old oppos gave an account of how they both trapped a pair of glamour girls... well, in 2002, the 20 year celebrations in plymouth, the book was given to all the returning crew of HMS Ardent in the dockyard etc... his wife (then girlfriend) got on the first train home and asked for a divorce after finding out he was nobbing some bird the night before he came home...lol
