Light and radiation from the Big Bang are travelling away from the singularity, creating the universe, and therefore, your and my understanding of time (space-time) as they go - as far as I understand it.
-
It is not expanding in something. It is creating TIME.

This is the best thing ever posted on this forum. QUANTUM FACT!

You saw it as I saw it. Sometimes on the day, you're too emotional and involved to really analyse the game.
-
Exactly Mike! 1-0 in the 70th minute off Guly's arse is three points. That's all we need.
-
Oh yeah, I know. Wasn't aimed at your comment, just that your use of his name reminded me. Would I swap him for Adkins? Sure, if you gave me a frontal labotamy first - which is the normal qualification for being a Pompey fan
-
Confession - I actually have time for Appleton. The guy gives credible, intelligent interviews against a backdrop of a working in a lunatic asylum.

Just watched the highlights on iPlayer, and it clarified a few things you don't see on the day... 1. The refere is keeping Grecian 2000 in business or was wearing the worst blended syrup I have ever seen. 2. We had more chances than anybody gives us credit on this thread. Personally, I don't think we had a bad game - nowhere near it. 3. If there is a chance in the box, I hope it falls to Sharp EVERY time. 4. Jamie Ashdown take a bow son. How you saved the header and the volley is beyond me. 5. Maguire and Norris, do the same. Wonder strikes. World class finishing. 6. Rocha. I hope he plays here again so someone can give him a nice knee high tackle when the ref is concentrating somewhere else. World class CyouNT! 7. De Ridder, why didn't he shoot??!!

Get rid of Adkins? Up until then I thought you were one who'd managed to avoid in-breeding... He's as good a manager as Rodgers and Lambert and they're doing ok.

It works for me: If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Is he always that good? Cos if he is and we do go up, we should buy him.
-
Agreed. Thought Sharp did the job we bought him for - 4 goals in three games? - whereas our long range shooting was hopeless! And bizarre. We are not that sort of team. We normally try and walk the ball in...
-
Aye, although the ref's decisions on who he did and didn't book were mindboggling!
-
And do you know what? I don't mind that. I like the odd player who can wind the opposition fans up... it never did United any harm having Roy Keane I don't want all our players to do it, but one or two is fine. BT did the same in the Carling Cup.
-
I find it hard to criticise the defending. If you're restricting the opposition to shots from 25 yards, you're doing most things right. The leveller at the end was just an incredible effort. Sometimes you just have to accept when someone does something that good that, be honest, 90% of the time goes into row Z. I need to see it again, but not sure how Kelvin didn't save the first...
-
Definition of irony: people squealing on here about players losing their bottle...
-
You could say that about ALL of our players. We are more suited to the Premiership than playing teams like Pompey.
-
This Bristol result could be good for us if it stays this was. Forest really really need wins.
-
I didn't think we were that bad today. We cannot play our natural game against a team who come to play a game Norman Hunter and Billy Bremner would be proud of... Losing Morgan was a blow. Lambert was nowhere near fit and although he won everything in the air (when not being fouled) his link up play was awful - no mobility at all. Sharp showed why we bought him. Credit to Pompey. They worked tirelessly and created very little, had a keeper in inpsired form (we didn't - thought Kelvin could and maybe should have saved both) and managed to score from only two shots on goal. Both of which would have gone into row Z on another day. I'm stunned and a bit surprised by the gnashing, wailing and GUTLESS fans on here whinging about it. There are five games to go. We are top. Now is the time for men to stand up, get behind the side and be counted. If you are not enjoying this, you need a one way ticket to Dignitas. Nothing in life worth having was not also HARD WORK. Cannot wait for Dellhurst Park on Monday.
-
We were unlucky today. I do not know how their keeper saved the header. I need to see it again in ultra slow motion. And if David Norris had that chance 300 times, 287 of them would go into row Z. Three points against Palace and all the pressure moves to West Ham and Reading.
-
I watch horse racing a lot. Jockeys who have lost come in and say 'they went no pace'. Who is 'they' I always ask? YOU have a mouth. Open it and fecking well use it and it's amazing how many others do the same.
-
We have to be at it from the off and go for the jugular. We don't just need to win tomorrow, we need to send a message.
-
Quality.
-
So, we need to beat Pompey 6-0 I reckon.
-
And the second. And he's on loan. I would ring his club and demand my money back! I hear he plans to throw himself in front of a bus at half time, but even that will probably go under him...
