  1. Hahaha! I so rarely agree with a thing you say, but spot on 100%. In all but result that was a super performance.
  2. West Ham's last ten games, most recent first: DWLWDDDDDW And now you're expecting WWWW?
  3. It's not over yet. Let's say both Reading and us win our next two games. Come 28th April they will be 3 points clear and away at Birmingham. We will be at home to Coventry... Could be fun!
  4. Wasn't just that he won it, he flicked on with his back to players and landed the ball on Sharp or Lallana's foot. He was outstanding.
  5. Lucky to be voted by all his fellow professionals... Blimey. Reading aren't lucky but Lallana is, thank God I'm not a gambler. I can't cope with all this 'chance'! Oh hang on, I am a gambler with 14/1 each way about us winning the league, which is irritating this morning as it was going to pay for my season ticket...
  6. De Ridder had a great shot saved, Lallana headed over from close range (should really have scored) but Korgs is a class centre back and Lambert and Sharp had little joy in the air. Sky says 23 shots, BBC 19... I wish a few more of our fans would read this report in the cold light of day. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17637590 Words like brilliant are not used lightly by football journalists.
  7. Deliberate. Who is Reading's slowest defender? The 54 year old Ian Harte?
  8. Er, I travelled back with Reading fans who accepted it was a smash and gab raid. I don't deny they were professional finishers who were gifted three goals. I'm reading plenty of impartial reports this morning who think we were hard done by and the score flattered Reading. Did we get what we deserved at Leeds?? 75% posession and 23 shots to 6. That's not rose tinted, that's the reality of the game. We were unlucky (or three people made errors, take your pick). Not taking anything away from Reading, their run has been incredible, but their fans told me 'lucky at Brighton, lucky tonight'...
  9. Yep, at the end of November I genuinely thought we would be crowned champions in late March! But that's injuries for you - we missed Rickie badly. And Lallana at his best. And the Chaplow of early season.
  10. Just remind them we can't win the league today, but by 4:55 they will be relegated. And in 15 days liquidated. That should cheer them up
  11. He is still not playing anywhere near the level he was earlier in the season. Personally, I think he's still feeling the effects of the injury. He's half a yard slower. He's still the best creative players in this league. When Rickie Lambert tells you he was stunned that Adam didn't win player of the season and he won it instead, it tells you all you need to know about what people who know their subject think about him. He hasn't been at his best since Christmas in my view.
  12. It hasn't done Norwich and Swansea too much harm. To be fair to Reading, I could not see West Brom, Wigan, Wolves, Villa, Blackburn or Bolton doing what they did to us last night. If we are promoted, we'll buy new players for sure. Not too many though. This is a bloody good squad - very lean - and still not playing to its full potential.
  13. I agree. Reading weren't professional, they were just bloody lucky. Otherwise we can claim Leeds as a professional job well done! On another night we could have been three up at half time.
  14. I would agree with all that. At the time I thought Kelvin could have come for the ball for the first, but just seen it on SKY and it was a great cross which arced out and gave Roberts every chance. He should never have been allowed to cross tho...
  15. Thought Chaplow was poor? Ok, a couple of times he might have shot rather than look to pass, but we were all over them while he was on the pitch, before and after their goal. He has energy and drive - De Ridder did ok too. But bringing in Puncheon? Why, have we been lacking a player who promises loads but actually delivers feck all???!!!
  16. I love our fans. Our team play brilliantly and are done - as teams sometimes are. We do have some feckwits following us.
  17. Bonkers. Team played outstanding at Palace and tonight. Keep it the same.
  18. Quite right. That was a sensational game of football which was won by the undeserving side. A brilliant advert for football.
  19. Sorry friend but this is cobblers. We were not torn apart. Goal 1 - Fox gives the ball away with a cross-field pass in NO danger. We are in possession going forward. Goal 2 - Hammond gives the ball away in midfield, we are attacking in posession in no danger. Goal 3 - irrelevant as we were chasing the game. The only limitations exposed tonight were that people make mistakes and that we should have shot a coupel of times more often although 23 shots, 9 on target against 6 from Reading in total! Sometimes in life you don't get what you deserve (as Leeds will testify). That's life. It's no-one's fault unless you want to blame Fox and Hammond who, apart from an error each, played superbly.
  20. Just seen the interview with McDermott. He couldn't believe his luck either!!!!
  21. Just got home after train, missed train and £35 cab fare. Spent the whole journey with Reading fans who could not believe their luck. 3 shots 3 goals. 3 errors by Saints. 75% possession and totally outclassed them the whole game. Gutted. These things happen in football. Four more points is probably good enough. Play at 70% of tonight's performance (without the errors) and we will win the next three games comfortably. I have never seen a team play so well and get nothing from the game. Feel for the lads tonight. Well done Reading. Mugged.
  22. Great article. Some fans have been critical this season of our style not working. Truth is, it has worked in nealy 60% of games. That is incredible. And as this article shows, has us as the third most successful team behind the top TWO in the PREMIERSHIP!! You cannot win anything without the ball. And losing the odd game but winning the war of possession is how Barcelone have become the best football team in the world. You can't find a better model.
  23. Win tonight and we will win all our remaining games. Confidence will see to that. That's why tonight is so critical to us.
  24. Hahaha! No, I was holding folding with one of my bookies and I felt lucky
  25. I have only once backed against Saints and that was in the JPT Final where I did a bit of hedging having backed us at 6/1. A few quid on Carlisle guaranteed a top day out... and a trophy! I'm holding 14/1 we win the league. And last night had a cheeky ton on Villa at 9/1 to go down. I know it's a long-shot but Wigan and Rangers have hit form, Bolton have an interesting run in and Villa have two very tough matches coming up... Oh and their fans hate McLeish who for my money is one of the most over-rated managers in the country.
