I don't want to be a member of any club that would have me as a member - Groucho Marx. I still think what you describe is a League One side. The games we won 5-0 in March and 5-1 in April, we created and BURIED chances from everywhere. I do not doubt Adkins can be successful. It is way too early to assess whether he will be as good as manager as Pardew or to credit him with having solved problems which, in reality, I believe were simply the inconsistency that comes with being a League One side. This was our form from March last year to the end of the season: WLWLWWWDWWWWDWLW In fact we lost just three times in the league in 2010. We were unbeaten in any competition in January and lost only to Portsmouth in February. This is outstanding form. I wonder how many teams in any league had better results.

We had this for most of last season - certainly from October onwards. Just because Adkins wants width, he'll still struggle against teams who deny us space on the ball. I remember watching us demolish a couple of teams last season thinking that we were playing some really good football. And at other times we won playing some really poor stuff but still good enough to win. That's League One football - inconsistency is bred into the standard of the league. Even Norwich had some shocking results. We were and are good enough to win this league quite comfortably. There were no cracks from October onwards, our form tells you this FACTUALLY. To say otherwise is to say that Norwich and Leeds also had papered over cracks.

I agree. A lot of our fans seem to watch the Champion's League and then come along to our games and moan about the quality of the football. We are as good as this league - slightly better, which is why we'll win it. If our players could hit every pass, make every tackle, stay onside every time and play with pace and vision - guess what? They wouldn't be in our fecking league would they? Doh... We are a LEAGUE ONE side - not Arsenal. Sorry to burst a few bubbles.
