  1. I meant communicating with the press, fans etc wasnt top of Cortese priorities because there were so many things going on in the background, i.e Markus Passing, issues with Pardew and putting so many big changes in place. So people we're left to speculate about things, start rumours and generally put Cortese down as ignorant and a non communicator... I think he admits that communication should have been better and I expect to hear a lot more from the club hereon..
  2. This is the thing, I think the lack of communication about the press, about ST's etc is because of things going on behind the scenes and Cortese goes some way to apologise for that in the interview (in not so many words) so given that they have only been in control for a very short period of time and have had to deal with losing Marcus I think they can be forgiven for these things and judged hereon now that they are settled in properly. I truly believe we are in safe hands and any stress we come under is only going to be caused by ourselves or the press...
  3. Are the any examples where Cortese has shown himself to be bad for saints... In terms of Facts??? From what I see he is everything we would want in chairman but people are afraid to give him the respect he deserves invade he hurts them like Lowe did.. Let this interview be a new leaf. Accept that he is good for us and move on... Here's to the future of SFC!! COYR! WIFM!
  4. Haha, think you'll find only supermikey requires me time. What with his hectic life/work schedule
  5. Think we've found our culprit.
  6. Part of the interview just made it onto radio one. In reference to pardew going to NU
  7. I think the fact he menioned about knowing lots of rich people who could fill the liebherrs shoes should they leave was the best thing Ive heard in sometime...
  8. Thanks again... Might just risk it and stay till the end. Apologies to anyone I barge out of the way on my way out of stadium or knock off the itchen bridge as I stomp my arse off getting back to my car... As for getting laid.... There are a few lookers but none worth missing saints v brentford for, which says all you need to know really. If I make it there in time and they have made themselves look particularly hot for me then they might stand a chance
  9. Video was very serious until he said the U-18 team have great bondage, at the end :-)... whatever makes them play good football I guess...
  10. Seems the whole 8 minute video is now up! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/9269581.stm
  11. here here
  12. Thanks guys, the do is in Wotton-under-Edge, South Gloucestershire Not sure I like the idea of leaving 10 mins before the end... Im always slagging off the people who leave early and no matter what the score I always stay till the end... If I was going to leave early I'd leave at HT... Leavinga the end sounds like it will be a bit tight and wont look too good if I get to table late.... hmmmm.
  13. I think that was exactly what everyone needed........ and relaaaaaaaaax. Yeah there wasnt any real revelations but to have such reassurance that everything is ok is of great relief.. to me anyway. Thanks Cortese and I hope now all the flapping on here will stop and we'll stop reading things into 3 line articles in a paper that gets pleasure out of stirring things up....
  14. Have a real dilema here..... My christmas do is on Saturday night in the Cotswolds and dinner is at 8... Really really want to go to the game for which I have ticket for (ST) so trying to decide wether to not go to football, or leave at HT or cancel my booking for the christmas do!! If I left at after the game I would never make it to hotel (2.5 hours away) get changed and at table for 8... Leaving at half time will be really difficult, especially if there is only 1 goal in it.... Im edging towards saying Im no longer going to christmas do but isnt that unbelievably sad to choose a league 1 football match over a christmas party???
  15. Surely we have have the final say on wether they go or not and I cant see us letting our finest assets go when we're pushing for promotion...
  16. Let the Chapel end be the standing end... We could do with a few people shifting over there. Although the Northam stand would be deserted I guess... I agree the poll should be changed. I want to sit down and dont want someone standing in front of me but I couldnt care less if there was a stand full of people standing somewhere else in the stadium
  17. Wow they're peeved.... takes me back to when we appointed Adkins and all the disappointment from the fans expecting MoN etc.. Maybe Pardew will come good for them in the way Adkins has for us though...
  18. Hell no. view doesnt come into it I agree. But then Ive never sat towards the corners and experienced this "Aching neck" being described.... I guess it could be a possibility...
  19. People like what they like and as regulars to ST Marys paying hard earned cash they have preferences when it comes to their visits in the same way humans have preferences with anything... I very much doubt many of the Northam lot would enjoy having to sit in the Chapel stand if all the Northam ST holders seats were sold out due to all the people going purely because its a prem side taking them all.... ...oh and just cos I dont want to sing whilst staggering about like a p*ssed idiot surrounded by people who just want to cause trouble doesnt make me any less supporting of our club. I pay my money to support the club, not just for my own enjoyment (Hence why the price doesnt come into it when I think about buying a ticket...)
  20. Get a room...
  21. I dont think anyone is claiming to be a better fan than anyone else, certainly not me. But if you make a commitment to paying a company so much money its understandable to want something extra that costs the club nothing to implement (re-implement that is), and people who go to the odd game here and there can't honestly be peeved about a ST holder having the seat they sit in for league games in the cup surely, when only the games against massive clubs sell out and most of the people fighting for the seats we want are only going for the very reason it's a big club! Is a bit of a non issue in the grand scheme of things I agree, but if people feel it should be in place then thats their opinion and shouldn't be shot down for it...
  22. Yeah I guess in that sense I always have someone "with" (on) me... Still waiting for Turkish to give in and accept me though... Haven't stopped crying since he blew me out..
  23. OK maybe not NO rewards Most of the above doesnt apply to me as I dont go to many away games and the 7.50 deal benefits someone else I guess my main and only gripe is that our seats arent reserved for us in cup games as they used to. Only takes them to offer them to ST holders a few days before incase you want them. Admittedly I would possibly get it if I phoned up and didnt book online but it shouldnt require luck as it does in big games...
  24. Bit of a rushed article. I was able to book a seat in block 7 of itchen so can confirm that is at least open It didnt choose my ST seat like it did last time so guess thats gone. Is quite poor that you get NO reward for buying a ST anymore... I'm sure the people in charge these days think they are doing US a favour letting us buy them.
  25. I have no complaints with that. Booked mine. Its not worth any less than a league game, what with it being round 3 and against a prem team...
