I was model pupil myself (ha ha), but there were always soft teachers (i suspect they had left wing leanings) that struggled with "disruptive" pupils and there were the teachers (i suspect they were right wing) that took a zero tollerance stance. The latter never suffered abuse and they were the best teachers.
