  1. It may be taking a lifetime, but they're not actually achieving anything... More likely to be some kind of Honours list award for services to Southampton Fans...
  2. Oh f*ck, no way. That is priceless.
  3. You got it, no summary required.
  4. The property developer that PST were relying on to buy Fratton Park and lease it back to them, would appear to be not as reliable or sound as they had thought. Kinda ironic really that the bestest criticise the Football League's fit and proper person tests as not being good enough, when their own tests on a key strategic partner are also not up to scratch...! Genuine lol moment.
  5. Don't we always point out a number of issues about everything to do with this saga a few months before they realise them?
  6. 10 nutjob points if you can guess what the rude word was... I reckon it was 'bum'.
  7. The picture and advice Essruu posted earlier is from the Highway Code: https://www.gov.uk/using-the-road-159-to-203/roundabouts-184-to-190 So in the absence of markings, you should use the right hand lane to turn right at a roundabout, but bearing this rule in mind:
  8. Well, given that he probably lost control of his vehicle and hit them just after this was taken, I think that's only fair...
  9. You spend all that time lecturing others about behaviour on the roads, and then go and take a picture whilst at the wheel! Reckless!
  10. Have you tried looking back through this thread for anything?!? It's nearly as hard as finding someone who gets it on POL.
  11. If the resulting videos are half as entertaining* as Rulebook Ric's from his motorbike, then I expect to see a whole thread dedicated to them on here. (* - allowing for the fact he nearly gets knocked off his bike in quite a few of them, which is not entertaining, but once you know he's ok, then it's fine)
  12. If I'm in a new place, I make sure I look up where I'm going in advance, and at the very least, make a note of road numbers or destination names, so that I can use the signs to find them. Obscured road markings can be a problem I agree, some places they are virtually non-existent, but on the roundabouts mentioned above they are very clear... but that still doesn't change the fact that if you suspect you need to make a manoeuvre which takes you into a 'lane' or section of road occupied by another vehicle, you should indicate and wait, not just pull across and cut them up or collide with them!
  13. Not been called 'too young' for a while, but I guess compared to you... And thinking about it, I'm sure I remember people calling it Six Dials when I was younger, but yes of course, it is Charlotte Place. Whatever it is, people can't drive round it properly.
  14. Doh. Well even if I get the name wrong, at least I can drive...
  15. So here's a question... We know about Saints' own rise up the leagues in years gone by, and the likes of Watford and Wimbledon did it quite impressively too... but what's the quickest a team has been relegated down the leagues? Not expelled or kicked out, but actually passed through the divisions the other way? Irrespective of points deductions, I can't think of any other team who would've gone from Div 1 to Div 4 so quickly, if it does indeed happen to the bestest. Anyone?
  16. The best bit for me in that is that it puts things squarely at the fans' door. It's up to them. If they don't pay up, the club folds. No more blaming of others. Of course, if it were me, I wouldn't pay either, I would've supported a phoenix club months ago and avoided all of this.
  17. I'm with Essruu on this one, I stand my ground too. It would help if drivers actually used the signs before the roundabouts too... funnily enough they tend to tell you which lane is for which exit, but so many people ignore them because they think they know which is the correct lane. Six Dials is indeed a classic for all this, not just as Essruu said above, but also when coming down off the Avenue, so many people incorrectly use the right hand lane to try and exit towards Northam, and vice versa, try to jump across from the left hand lane to take the East Park Terrace or Brunswick exits. And this even *with* the painted lines. F*ckw!ts the lot of them.
  18. Crikey, I almost feel the need to give Whittingham some credit for saying that... someone down there actually gets it.
  19. I'm also really jealous that more Saints fans aren't thick ***ts. That's a real quality I admire amongst the few.
  20. I think while Adkins has undoubtedly been learning, it's also fair to say that the team have also learnt a lot... individual mistakes have cost us points and no change of manager would/will prevent those. It may be a cliche, but it really has been a case of 'together as one' and the players deserved some criticism then/credit now, just as Adkins did/does.
  21. 4) They've raised f*ck all.
  22. Are you implying that they're NOT remotely close then? Well, that is a shock to me.
  23. I think we need a nice clear page on the PST site with two things: A totalizer and a countdown clock. It might focus the skates attention. It would definitely provide a handy reference point for the rest of us.

    Jason Puncheon

I actually think the contract situation will be fine... he has matured, Saints are in the Premier League, everyone is seemingly happy with how things are progressing, and whilst demands for money can never be discounted, I think Punch will realise now that being at a club where he is now wanted, and where he has developed good understanding with his teammates is worth a lot. I think he'll be offered, and will sign, a new contract without too much fuss
  25. Careful peeps, could it be that Alps' incessant negativity is actually the driving force behind our climb back up the leagues...? How f*cked up would that be?
